DP x DC Prompt #2 - Fenton Cafe

Inspired by that one underground bar post @stealingyourbones

The Fentons move to Gotham to support Jazz at her new college and open up a small cafe on the first floor of their blimp house to earn money.

Now the Fentons moved to a sketchy part of Gotham cause that’s the only place they could land safely. It doesn’t take long for rogues to slither in looking for easy cash.

And promptly get blasted by the Fenton anti-ghost Defense System. They wake up to Maddie and Jack tending to their wounds and shoving a tin of fudge into their hands, respectively. The goon/rogue gets booted by Danny after being forced to listen to his parent’s ghost rant for several hours.

Weirdly, it doesn’t take long before the cafe becomes a safe haven for rogues and goons alike to relax. But then the bats arrive to get a handle on the new ‘villain hideout.’

The Fenton’s don’t discriminate. The bats get the same treatment as the rogues all the way down to the complimentary fudge. No one comes into their house with that kind of attitude.

It’s a Violence-free unless you’re a Fenton zone.

But It’s a real party when Danny’s rogues start showing up.

Jason is kind of in shock. The kid makes puns and nerdy little references and seems to take joy in being Robin. Is this the ghostly personification of his childhood dreams and innocence?

Tim was four days into a sleep deficit so he felt that to say that this predicament was his fault was a bit of a reach.

For it to be his fault he would have had to cognizant of the last 16 hours.

All he wanted to do was take a power nap in the nearest closest durring the Waynetech gala but nooo Bruce had to be taken hostage by the Joker.

So he did what he thought would work best and shoved uncle Clark into the nearest emergency bat storage and told him to suit up.

Maybe he looked a bit more confused than normal but they didn’t need a reporter they needed Batman!

That being said wasn’t uncle Clark supposed to be off-world?

Oh no.

———————

Jack honestly had no clue what was happening for the last six months so when he was told to be Batman he merely just shrugged as the frankly exhausted teen left him to his own.

With his son turning out to be part ghost to the government hunting down his said son and having to move shop halfway across the continent.

This might as well happen.

Grinning like a kid on Christmas, Jack plopped on the finishing touch.

“Oh Danno is not going to believe this!”

Raising a cloaked arm with a flourish Jack struck a pose.

“Alrighty Jack enough messing around! Time to save the party, Fenton style!

Shifting his feet, Jack took a deep breath before smoothing his face the best he could. After all, couldn’t have a smiling Batman! Before walking out the room and taking running leap through the wall to the streets of Gotham before grappling to the nearest building.

secret’s out

Alright, so you know how when Danny gets angry, his eyes turn green? Well, just imagine Danny getting angry at his parents, while in the middle of defending himself at why his grades are bad or he’s slipping up in curfew and chores (the usual) after getting no sleep the night before ghost hunting, and having a horrible day at school and his eyes turn green and he loses his temper. Then his parents are like, eyes changing that drastically and that quickly isn’t normal, and they ask him if he’s alright and he says something like. “Not normal?! Nothing in this house is normal!!” Then he storms off, and Jazz tries to cover for him, while kind of freaking out, and Jack and Maddie agree with her excuse, just to calm her down. Then the next day they, see Phantom fighting and look really close at him and Jack mutters something along the lines of “He looks a lot like Danny,” and they pale so drastically in realization. Then Jack and Maddie bring it up to Jazz and Danny at dinner that night and Danny goes so pale, and he looks like he’s gonna jump up and sprint out the door, and Jazz starts choking on her drink. Then it all comes to light!!! Guys help I’m flipping out, will someone PLEASE make a one-shot of this and post it???!!!

I'm bored

Danny and supervillian/mad scientists jack and maddie

Buuut, they don't know that Danny's a hero and his siblings ( a deaged dan that the same age as danny, ellie, and jazz) are following their parents......slightly.

Dan is fine with being a villian, but he's more of an anti hero. Ellie just causes chaos and tries to be evil like jack and maddie but she keeps failing and makes everything better. Jazz isn't even doing anything really she's just scary and can live normally despite everyone knowing that she's their kid. Vlads just the overbearing godfather who indulges them.

Anyhow danny doesn't want his parents to know for fear of getting grounded or it being called a faze( like the thundermans with max but with opposite roles if you understand the reference)

So oneday his brother, Dante also known as the wraith is doing stuff downtown and danny is out as phantom and he's with a team.

Danny and his team stopping wraith

Wraith annoyed: stop this brother

Phantom: or what

Wraith: or I tell mom

Phantom:.........

Phantom: ....you wouldn't

Wraith: I would, I'll do it right now watch me

Wraith: MO-

Phantom: random noises

Wraith: MOO-

Phantom: more random noises

Wraith: loser says what

Phantom: what??

Wraith: you owe me a cujo day

Phantom: you bastard-

Wraith leaving: MOOOM YOUR SONS OUT VIGALANTING AGAIN

Phantom flying after him as his team watched amused: NO IM NOT HES A LIER WHO LIES.

Okay so the Fenton’s have a family vacation in city with a science convention. They get arrested though they don’t know why but aren’t worried or complain.

Instead they ask the nice hero (superman) to go make sure their son remembers to take his heart medication or it might spasm. Their daughter would usually do it but she’s been out like a light since she’s finished mid terms. They should be in the hotel still sleeping.

I’m thinking they didn’t go to any major cities but it was close enough to one that a big time hero had to stop the disaster the Fenton driving caused (it wasn’t just their driving).

Anyways the hero does go and (they gave him the key and trust him to bring it back) check on the kids. Jazz is out and nothing short of her brother’s distress will wake her. Danny is sleepy and mistakes the hero as his dad with his blurry eyes and half a wake mind and gets coaxed into taking his medicine before going back to sleep.

Danny is pretty mangled from his accident but he looks much better now. The scars went up to his face and he can still kind of see out of his weaker eye, his arm has trouble sometimes but he’s okay.

He needs medicine for his heart but other wise fine.

Of course not talking about his ghost half.

Do his parents know? Nope! Would they love him? Yep!

Would they break out of jail to protect him? Absolutely! Would Jazz have her dad’s strength and use it to protect her brother? Yes!!!

They are a loving family and I’m tired of ignoring it!!!!

Jazz is tall, has her dad’s strength and the anti creep stick. Would her dad be a meta? He doesn’t know what that is!

Is Amity in a pocket that technically interacts with the outside world but still behind in the timeline? Maybe! They don’t know what a Justice league is or modern news but they can go explore the world and think everything is just weird like that.

They don’t know that they are the weird ones.

Something like that.

When he said Jack my mind just went to his dad, and then to maybe his parents are dead and turned into ghosts ( or maybe just his father) to stay with him while he flees the GIW.

And his dad is just there, watching his son try to help while having trust issues due to them.

"Aww Danno, why don't you try helping them? They seem like good people!"

But yeah... Tim's dad probably makes more sense xD

Seeing ghosts in Gotham

He’s walking alone. Despite how dark it is, he’s not particularly nervous, not like the couple of people hovering in an alley.

His shift at Batburger went a little long, not that he’s complaining, he needed the money.

Everything is fine. Splendid. Fantastic. A little quiet, enough to pretend it’s a nice stroll home like it was back in Amity. Of course that all kind of goes up in flames when a dark figure drops into a crouch right in front of him. About two arm lengths away is a guy who straightens to a little taller than Danny himself. From the flickering street light across the street he can spot red, crisscross yellow, and a dark cape.

Red Robin.

Danny shakes his head and turns around.

“Nope.”

A smaller body is already standing behind him, blocking his path. The little guy with a serious face folds his arms across his chest as if challenging Danny to try to get by him.

He’s had enough tussles with Danielle to know better than to test the kid.

Danny rubs at his eyes with a hand, purposefully keeping the other limp at his side. He turns back around.

“Okay. Fine. What? What do you want?”

“You sent in a folder of information to solve the Boothe case,” Red Robin states confidently like there wasn’t any doubt it was Danny who sent it in.

He frowns. It was sent in anonymously. As in they shouldn’t be able to know it was him. Then again they are detectives in their own right even if they dress weird.

“See? This is why no one helps out the police if they’re gonna get grilled for it later on,” he complains sourly.

“That case is connected to another string of crimes we’ve been investigating. I need to know where you got your information.”

Danny glares at him for a second, actually thinking about telling him, then he remembers how quickly these guys throw people into Arkham.

“Do you not get what anonymous means?”

“What is your source?” He asks, completely ignoring Danny’s concerns.

“What are gonna do? Dangle me over the side of a building to get me to talk like you do with the criminals you guys pick up? Go ahead. See where that gets you,” he shrugs indifferently.

“You’re a runaway.”

Danny’s eyes widen in surprise before narrowing into a warning as he turns to look at the pipsqueak that spoke.

“From your poorly made fake ID and the fact you don’t look close to eighteen, you must be a runaway minor. We could bring you in to the proper authorities if you prove to be… uncooperative.”

Danny sneers in annoyance.

“Seriously?” He turns back to Red Robin. Clearly the older of the two and the one leading this investigation. “This is what I get for trying to help? Blackmail?”

“Robin can be a bit… abrasive. I, on the other hand, can appreciate a different approach.”

Suddenly there’s a couple pieces of paper money in between his fingers. Danny couldn’t see how much it was from this far away, but it didn’t really change how he felt about the whole situation.

“Now bribery? Wow, you guys really got the whole good cop, bad cop thing down, don’t cha?”

“Then what do you want?”

“For you to stop wasting your time,” Danny answers with a snap.

Red Robin pauses.

“Our time,” he repeats calmly.

“Yea. Your time. This is a dead end and you should move on.”

“And why are you a dead end?” Presses Robin.

“Because,” Danny emphasizes with a look over his shoulder, “the guy you’re really looking for, my source as you put it, is dead, okay? So you can’t go ask him questions. I sent in everything that was relevant. Find another lead.”

Red Robin’s expression remains blank as he mentally calculates his next move. Danny hopes he takes his advice and let him go home.

“His name?”

Danny folds his arms over his chest, a pathetic attempt to protect himself. He chews on his lip a minute. To tell him or not to tell him. It’s not really ratting the guy out since he’s, you know, dead. Although there is a large chance Danny’s missing something and it’s all going to lead back to him somehow.

“I didn’t kill him.”

“I never said you did,” the vigilante replies calmly, almost nonchalant.

Danny shifts his weight with nerves. He really wasn’t getting out of this without giving them something, huh?

“Greg,” he grinds out like it’s painful.

Silence for a few moments, then-

“As in Gregory Boothe?”

The victim of this whole conversation? Yes.

Danny’s silence is answer enough and the diverted gaze just solidified their suspicions.

“Gregory Boothe’s body turned up a month ago. Presumably he’d been dead for several weeks before that.”

Red lets that damning information hang in the air like Danny didn’t already know.

“So when did he talk to you? Last week?”

Danny jerks at the off handed joke, actually taking a step back and hitching his shoulders up to his ears. He grimaces at his knee jerk response, but can’t take it back. A glance toward the vigilante shows a calculating stunned expression from what he can see ignoring the mask. He looks away again finding a discarded soda can very interesting.

“What is that supposed to mean?” Demands Robin behind him.

Danny tried to resist the urge to curl even more into himself, but knows he failed without even having to look.

“You’re a medium,” Red Robin states. It’s not even a question.

Danny flinches and shoots the guy a scared glare.

“I am not one of those scam artists,” he hisses firmly.

“No,” Red agrees, “you’re not. You didn’t ask for money or attention.”

Danny stares like it’s his first time seeing him. The lack of aggression or accusations was new and a little disarming. He was genuinely confused as to why the guy wasn’t immediately going to denial or throwing him in Arkham.

“Hell of a city to hide in when you can see ghosts,” Red Robin says in a light tone like he was teasing him. The small tug to his lips just proves it.

Danny’s shoulders practically sag at the playful demeanor. A hand reaches up to rub the back of his neck self-consciously.

“Yea, well… no one was gonna look for me here.”

Which was only half the reason he chose Gotham, but it was still truthful.

“So… Greg?”

“Isn’t here right now.” Danny pauses and snorts at himself. “Please leave a message.”

The vigilante does have a sense of humor because he smirks in response to the joke.

“Is there another way to… make contact? Summoning maybe?”

Danny raises an eyebrow incredulously.

“Summoning is rude,” he says like it’s common sense.

Instead he turns to the nearest reliable ghost in the vicinity.

“Hey, Susan, can you go-“

The vigilantes can’t hear how she interrupts him because she was standing there the whole time and knows exactly what he was going to ask.

“Okay, thanks. Meet at mine.”

The ghost woman nods and flies off to go hunt down dear old Greg and Danny turns to Red Robin. He makes a casual move with his head to say ‘follow me’ and continues walking down the sidewalk past the guy and further into the old, decrepit buildings he’s been squatting in.

They already know he’s a runaway, being homeless shouldn’t come as a shock to them. Even with his two jobs, he can’t afford to rent an apartment. No wonder so many people are in poverty or in the slums.

He ducks into his rundown building, ignoring the rats scurrying away, and hops up the rickety stairs, avoiding the ones that were unstable. It was a nightmare figuring out which steps were faulty. Lots of injuries.

At the top he turns to see Red easily copying his movements up the stairs while Robin balances along the railing like a tight rope. When they reach the top at the same time Danny just stares at them for a moment before shaking his head in exasperation. Darn vigilantes. Why did Danny have to get caught up in this mess?

He turns, walking along the floor closest to the wall before getting to what he’s deemed his room.

It used to be an office from what he can tell. A desk pushed against the far wall and a ripped sofa he’s been using as a bed on the other wall. The floors were the most stable in this room which really won out.

Danny goes to the desk where all his papers are scattered over the surface. An organizational pattern only he understands as he shuffles through the pile he pulls from the cubby above the desk. It holds all the same information he sent into the police, just in its raw form with about twice the amount of useless information. Along with it is a few other ‘cases’ that sounds familiar that he just threw together into a pile. Maybe the genius detectives could decipher what he couldn’t.

“Here,” he says, holding out the stack. Red Robin doesn’t hesitate to take it off his hands.

There’s no chair for the desk anymore so he slides some papers out of the way to hop onto the desk to wait.

“No.”

The vigilantes look at him and he shakes his head and looks over to the side.

“No, Abby. I’m not wasting their time.”

Red Robin goes back to flipping through papers. Most of them were old business papers he had found in the office and just written on the back. Some were receipts or pamphlets or some other random scrap of paper he could get his hands on.

“Because yours was an accident. There’s nothing for them to solve.”

Robin watched him cautiously as if waiting for Danny to snap or suddenly turn violent. Instead he leans back on his hands in a vulnerable position which screamed ‘I don’t want to hurt anyone’.

“There is a lot more information here than what was submitted to the police,” Red Robin comments neutrally, purposefully ignoring Danny’s exasperated sigh and one-sided conversation.

Danny shrugs in defense, “Didn’t think all of it was relevant.”

The vigilante doesn’t respond.

Robin drifts closer as Danny gives a withering glare to the corner. He examines the mess of papers surrounding the teen in the low lighting.

“Are these all files of victims?”

Danny glances over them with a knowledgeable eye.

“Most.” He twists to point at the top left corner of the cubbies. “Those are accidents though… well, what sounds like accidents.”

“There should be more.”

Danny looks at the boy with a tilted head and raises brow.

“Not everyone sticks around,” he explains simply.

Then something draws his attention away across the room. Surprisingly his eyes don’t glaze over like someone with mental illness, instead they sharpen to see something they can’t. It resembled Constantine or Thomas.

“Greg, these guys wanna talk to you.”

What proceeds is a very awkward interaction with Danny as a middle man between victim and vigilante. Despite the need for a translator, Red Robin does in fact get a lead from the conversation.

“Thank you for your cooperation.”

Danny nods. “Sure, no problem. Just don’t rat me out to the police and I can help with any other case that pops up with a ghost attached.”

“You know we can help with your living situation,” Red Robin offers with a glance around the room.

“What, and put me in foster care? No thanks, I’ll pass.”

“There are other options,” Robin chimes in with nonchalance that implies he doesn’t actually care.

“You don’t pass for eighteen, but if you let me make you a new ID we could say you’re emancipated.”

Danny frowns.

“I’d have to be sixteen to be eligible for emancipation.”

“You could be sixteen.”

No, he really couldn’t. Maybe if you squint your eyes and tilt your head, but Danny is fourteen with all the baby fat and innocent face that comes with it. His license now is a clear fake to anyone who sees it, but in this city no one’s gonna question it to his face. They just raise a brow, look at him, then shrug it off and roll with the lie.

“What do you want?” He demands. All this good will and wanting to help him can’t be free.

“We want to help,” Red says too easily.

Danny stares for a second, eyes narrowed as he tries to block out the multiple voices around him.

Insurance. He wants Danny to owe him so he can keep coming back for more information.

“I just told you I would help. Why are you still trying to get leverage?” He demands with irritation.

“We want to help-“

“You want me in your back pocket.”

Red Robin doesn’t give that a response, his lips pressing together to make a hard line.

Instead of pushing, he surprisingly takes a step back and heads towards the door, papers still in hand. Danny doesn’t argue.

Robin ducks out first, blending into the shadows without even a glance over his shoulder. Red Robin pauses in the doorway.

“Don’t try to skip town,” he states like an order. Like if Danny did in fact try, he would be found and brought back.

It didn’t even cross Danny’s mind.

“Wasn’t planning on it,” he says tiredly, too fed up with the day to defend himself.

Red Robin watches him for a moment before nodding and disappearing out the room.

Danny slumps with a groan, finally sliding off the desk to shuffle to the couch, body flopping face first into the worn cushions.

It’s silent to everyone else but Danny.

“I know.”

“I know, Jack, but I don’t trust them. Even if he is your son.”

Danny never noticed the bug planted by Robin on the underside of the desk.

It’s Time For The First Person To Introduce Or Should I Say BangBoo!!!!
It’s Time For The First Person To Introduce Or Should I Say BangBoo!!!!
It’s Time For The First Person To Introduce Or Should I Say BangBoo!!!!

It’s time for the first person to introduce or should I say BangBoo!!!!

Name: Fentboo

Work: FentonWorkes

Mission: protect the household and protect Jazz and Danny at all costs. (this mission started when Jazz was 10 and Danny was 8)

Status Job: The Fentboo is supposed to find ethereal and leading the team to them, giving them a chance to destroyed all ethereal. Then leads the team out of the hollow…(Jack miss up the carrot installation it’s badly corrupted).

But…the Fentboo failed many times so now it’s stay at home helping Jazz and Danny to fight off food that comes alive by whacking it with the Fentons works mallet. (It’s a regular mallet with the Fenton sticker on it).

Cool info: Sam gives the Fentboo the spike bracelet, but it was too big so she put it on the right ear. Tucker reprogrammed the Fentboo so it doesn’t see Danny as a threat, now every time he visits Fentboo follows him around (Fentboo see him as family member). Sam colors the right ear purple (she was stop halfway by trying to make him look goth, he gets to keep the skull sticker tho). Jazz order a custom-made sticker of her teddy bear. She put it on the on his little jacket he loves it. (Danny secretly cuddles Fentboo when he’s stressed until he’s asleep. Jazz has many photos of them) the Fentboo loves there’s cuddles days. Danny helped Fentboo many times during battles and gave him quick hugs before entering the battle again.

Fentboo is a great worker when it at home but on field it doesn’t work well, Tucker is working on that. He hate Jack so much for corrupting the carrot. The Fentboo is always there to help family and friends and good at completing tasks when asked..

( Little dude hates the popular kids at school. Especially Dash, Dash throw him in the trash all the time. So now thanks to Tucker, Fentboo can now attack Dash with the mallet if Dash touches Fentboo again).

Sometimes Fentboo follows Danny and Jazz to school and waits for them to get out. Jack and Maddie lets it because it’s cute and does protect them (don’t worry they make sure there fully charged when there out). Best investment they ever made and best employee ever loved.

Fenton parents make an invention to reverse a ghost's evil impulses!" It actually brings a ghost's instincts forward. The effects last about two weeks.

The Fentons are in Gotham when they get the chance to use it on Phantom.

Good news: it happens near the Bats, so he's quickly rescued.

Bad news: baby ghost instinct wants parents and turned human to get reassurance. That did not happen and now Red Hood has a crying, keening teenager shaped leech.

Phantom Sight chapter 1

The clacking of tools and occasional grunts were the only sounds in the lab. Scrunched faces in concentration as wired were hooked up and bolts tightened. The final checks on a years long project.

Danny laid the wrench down.

"What next, dad?"

Jack looked up dirt smudges on his face from wiping away sweat with greasy hands.

"We gotta turn it on."

Danny nodded. It was hard to see his dad in this state. It had been years since her passing, but he was obsessed with the notion that he could bring her back.

The portal wasn't something Danny really believed in. At fourteen, he was watching his father fall apart, and he had found a way to keep his fathers mind busy.

The portal stood as an empty shell. Danny felt nervous. He knew it would never work, and he was scared to know what his fathers reaction would be.

Jazz had already emancipated herself. She couldn't take it, watching her father be like this. She was studying to become a psychiatrist, and she said Danny was enabling Jack. It frustrated him.

Danny knew she hadn't meant it to sound like he wasn't doing this right, but dammit! He shouldn't have to!

"Turn it on now?" He asked.

Jack picked up the cords, "I'm getting her  back," he muttered.

Danny watched as he shoved the cords together and saw a flash of hope cross Jacks face.

1,2,3,4,5...10 seconds passed. Then, ten more in heavy silence.

"It didn't work," Jack said roughly, his voice grated and hoarse.

Danny reached a hand out to his dad, "dad, I'm...I'm sorry it didn't work."

Jack put his hands on his face, "I need to go -"

"Fudge."

Jack turned, "What?"

"I made you some fudge. It's in the fridge upstairs."

"Thank you."

Jack picked the wrench from off the floor and put it on one of the work-benches before turning to go up the stairs to the kitchen.

"You're welcome," Danny whispered.

He turned to look at the portal. Something caught his eye. A lit up button.

Danny grabbed a spare suit and climbed in to get a closer look. A panel that was bent up at the corner caught the soles of the suit.

Danny tripped, slamming against the side of the portal in his fall. A loud whirring sound followed, and the portal lit up in a flash of green. Danny couldn't see anything, and then there was a flashing white pain striking his nerves, awakening his cells.

It felt like he was made of dry ice. Danny screamed, his larynx sputtering out, muting his scream.

Then it stopped. Dannys body felt numb as he crawled out of the portal.

Thundering footsteps down the lab stairs and then a shout, "DANNY!!"

Jack cradled his son in his arms, "I'm so sorry, Danny. Thank you. I'm sorry. Sorry."

Jack carried his son outside right as the paramedics got there. They badgered him for moving Danny, but he just kept repeating sorry.

Danny looked at his arm braces that he used to help him walk.

It had been a wheelchair at first, then the braces. This was as far as his treatment could go. Like his body had hit a block.

He was stuck with those braces.

Then there were the other problems. It started the night after he was discharged  from the hospital.

There were flashes of green and white. Someone was screaming, but the scene was hazy. Then he saw his fathers face.

Dannys eyes snapped open. He was sweating and... cold? Dannys hands searched for his blanket to pull onto himself. No blanket, no pillow, no... mattress.

Danny bolted upright, looking around his dimly lit room widly. His head hit the ceiling with a thunk.

"Ow, what the fuck?" He shispered looking up to see what he hit. The realization hit in, and he looked down. His bed was more than a foot away from him.

Danny almost yelled out. The shock made him lose control, and he fell from his levitating state. His bed made a cracking sound and shifted, half of it falling to the floor.

"Great broke the bed, now what?" Danny muttered. He rubbed his head on the spot that was still sore from hitting the ceiling. A faint green glow caught his eye.

Twenty minutes later, Danny was still staring at his reflection. His hair was white, his eyes were glowing and green, and he was wearing that baggy suit from the lab, the one he had to keep in place with a belt and chunky black boots.

"Am I dead?"

Danny slapped himself, that was stupid. But still, he couldn't let his dad see him like this.

"Urgh... Danny?" Jack groaned from the hallway, "you in there?"

Dannys chest starting humming, "shit, shit, shit." Danny squeezed his eyes shut and breathed.

"Calm down," he told himself. Deep, weighted breaths. Danny opened his eyes, the glow was gone.

All the air came out to once as he said, "Oh thank all that is surgery cereal".

Danny opened the door, "all yours dad."

Jack shuffled into the bathroom without a word and Danny went back to his room.

He grabbed an unused notebook and starting jotting down what he knew.

"My "transformation" must've been set on from the accident with my dad's ghost portal - THE PORTAL!!"

He jumped up, falling immediately. How did he forget he needed braces? Tossing the notebook aside, he swung his braces and slid down the banaster on the stairs. He came to the basement lab door, and he stopped. His body was shaking. Was he scared?

Danny opened the door and walked down carefully. A familiar green glow omitted what he suspected. The portal worked. It stared at him like a green lake, giant and somehow more scary than it would've been as a failure.

Danny reached out and gently, with the tips of his fingers, he touched the portal. It didn't have a negative effect on him. He expected a burn or a tingly feeling, but it felt like thick air. A denser version of his normal atmosphere.

After that, Danny started experimenting with the portal, putting cameras in it, which always broke for some reason. His research came to a halt when creatures started showing up.

He fought these monsters, and after stealing some new inventions of his fathers, he advanced. He figured out how to switch between geek and freak when he needed to.

Danny waited for his father to be done with the lab for the day before beginning his own research. This was his day, everyday.

I need to read a fic where Danny gets sprayed with some sort of chemical that makes him hallucinate and see the person he was next to as someone who he really hates (vlad obviously) and absolutely goes to town trying to beat the ever living fuck out of them.

It would be 100% better if that person was Jack because this would give him the wake up call he needs to realize something isn't right with Vlad if this is the reaction Danny gets from being alone with him.

While this is happening Danny can't shift since the drug messed up his ghost powers a little so he's working with what he's got in human form, which turns out to be just enough, he's hitting hard and leaving cracks on concrete surfaces, he's ripping bolted down metal clean off and swinging with enough force to completely shatter reinforced glass.

———

Jack is worried for his son as the chemicals seem to make his eyes glow ectoplasmic green and lichtenberg scars seem to appear, glowing slightly against the exposed skin. Throughout the attack Jack hadn't been hurt as bad since he was able to dodge most of it. A little bruise here, a small cut there, but nothing serious. Unfortunately his son seemed to have backed him in a corner and if he didn't act now he would be–

"I hate you"

It was spoken with so much venom and deep destation that Jack flinched. The verbal attack that left his son's mouth entered his ears and seem to ring in his head, dancing on his brain before traveling down and striking his heart.

Jack loved his family, he loved them so much. He would do anything for them, as long as they were happy he was happy. He knew he could come off as a bit much at times to other people but he didn't mind, his family's opinion of him mattered way more. They were the ones who motivated him, they were the ones he would move heaven and earth for, they were the ones he was going to make sure were safe and sound no matter the cost.

He knows Danny is hallucinating, he knows the things he's saying aren't meant for him, but as he stood there all he saw was the way Danny's eyes held nothing but resentment and it scared him.

Jack had to think fast, he needed something that would subdue the effects, something that would stop the look in Danny's eyes. Luckily they were near a water pipe, so using his fenton-blaster he shot a hole into the thing where is proceeded to soak them both.

"Dad?"

The voice of his son came out confused before taking in their surroundings. As he looked at the now bent metal in his hands then back at him, horror masking his face with wide eyes before dropping his makeshift weapon.

"I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to–"

Jack rushed forward and embraced his son. Wet tears and sobs from his boy breaking his heart.

I want to talk abou my AU Danny.

But first, I want you to know a few things about this alternate universe. (Canon characters are probably OOC in some ways)

You can call the AU "Wings of the Ravens".

Some of the ghosts in this universe are much milder than that of the canon universe. Ghosts are basically inhabitants from "Ghost Zone". Ghosts will (/can) die and they can get injured. Ghosts and Earth creatures can live together in peace, and some certain ghost species can be seen in human habitations. A few ghost species are considered as people, like Ectopuses, "Ghost Worms", "Far Frozen" folks, probably some humanoid ghosts and so on (you can think of them as fantasy creatures/ aliens who can speak and talk or can communicate with humans, then you can get my point). It seems that many humans are aware of the existence of these ghost species. Ectopuses and Worms don't mind living with humans (they have their own villages, towns and cities in Ghost Zone…). You can even trade with them. (More information will be discussed in future posts)

Guys in White are a kind of organization here. They probably have ghost members.

No ghost king. No Christmas Truce.

Some Earth creatures are, to some degree, "ghosts", from some ghosts' point of view. Earth creatures can be very dangerous to ghosts. Another thing is that some of them will get more "ghostly" if they manage to survive and live in Ghost Zone long enough. Analogously, ghost might become less ghostly if they live on Earth. A really small amount of these Earth creatures (vertebrate species) or ghosts turn into "half ghosts" (you can say they are mutated) for many reasons, and most of them will have health problems, and can easily die. Half ghosts can become really powerful much more easily than ghosts (at least, compared to Ectopuses, Far Frozen people and Worms), but having some incredibly powerful "ghost powers" will usually have some bad effects on themselves.

Half ghosts are more likely to become aggressive, menacing and even destructive (with the powers they have, they can be unstoppable). They have been causing damages to Ectopuses' and Worms' habitations. They can also be threats to humans. GIW have some useful information about half ghosts, and always keep an eye on them, especially the powerful ones. GIW and some other people actually have practicable methods to deal with destructive ghosts/ half ghosts.

There are spoilers! ! ! 😬😬😬

As for this Danny and this Vlad, they are half ghosts. They became halfas because of the portal accidents, like canon.

Danny was a very powerful "ghost" (not as powerful as Canon Danny). He did become a superhero, and he attempted to help the citizens in Amity Park as well as fighting bad guys and aggressive ghostly creatures, although he probably wasn't really good at fighting (his fighting skills were worse than Canon Danny's). He was nice, and was regarded as a hero by many residents of the city.

This Vlad was kinder than Canon Vlad, but was still weird/ creepy (and probably a bit insane…). He and the Fentons kept in contact, and they were fine, although this Vlad still thought Jack was unreliable.

The Fentons were experts in ghosts. Maddie and Jack studied ghosts and were totally fine with ghosts being in the city, and even got on well with some ghosts (or halfas). They had built several anti-ghost weapons, but these weapons only had effects on specific ghost types/ species (or usually wouldn't cause fatal injuries). It would be quite accurate to call Maddie and Jack researchers/ scientists (instead of ghost hunters). They didn't know Danny was half ghost (at first) though😂. They had noticed the Phantom kid, and then tried to communicate and cooperate with Danny. In this case, the Fentons had a pretty good relationship with Danny Phantom.

Maddie later discovered that Phantom is "half human" (probably by examining Danny's ectoplasm/ blood) and told Jack about this. The Fentons were aware of half ghosts, and they knew that Vlad was a halfa, although they didn't really focus on studying half ghosts. Still, the fact that Danny Phantom was a halfa really surprised them, since their devices could not differentiate Phantom from ghosts. They eventually knew their Danny was Phantom, aside from that, they found out something else… After that, Maddie and Jack did want to find a moment to talk to Danny and Jazz, but they had never got the chance. They were collecting data and doing some experiments near a natural ghost portal when their equipments gone wrong. Then they were killed by their machines. Jazz and Danny were at school when this tragedy happened, and they knew about their parents' death after returning home (someone called them and told Jazz about the tragedy).

Vlad then knew about his two friends' death, and offered to help the young Fentons, and they accepted his help. After attending Maddie and Jack's funeral, Vlad moved to live with the two kids. He was actually quite nice to the kids and he could cook well. He took them to his mansion during summer vacation(s) or something.

Danny still went to school and hung out with friends, and continued to be a superhero. However, he questioned himself more. And he regretted that he didn't tell his parents about his ghost powers and what he had been doing (he didn't tell his parents or Jazz in order to protect them from his enemies) (he also concerned about other things) (Jazz knew he was Phantom). He always tried to protect the people he cared about, and sometimes he really thought he was doing fine, but the reality was, he could not save everyone, despite the effort he put into. He knew that he had limitations before knowing his parents' death, but the reality was still cruel. (He wasn't even there when his parents were killed, so he probably didn't really blame himself for their death…) Sam and Tucker attempted to comfort Danny, and suggested that Danny should take a break from the whole superhero thing. But Danny didn't listen, which made his friends really worried. Jazz (of course she would… though she was sad and stressed) and Valerie also tried to comfort Danny (this Valerie fights dangerous ghosts, too. She didn't know Danny's secret and usually didn't try to kill Phantom… ).

Danny wasn't alright, and there was something wrong with his ghostly abilities. He sometimes lost control of his own "powers" and his condition was noticed by Vlad (and Jazz). Later he "failed to save" some people (this happened before, and he was really tired). He didn't want to continue to be a hero. He got exhausted more and more easily during fights, and there was Valerie anyway, so it wouldn't matter if he quit. Then he discussed this with his friends. He wanted to spend more time with his good friends and his sister (and focus more on his study) (he also wanted to tell Jazz and Valerie about his ghostly side). To his surprise, his friends insisted on him having a "double life". They thought Danny just needed some rest, instead of giving up being Danny Phantom. Danny didn't think his friends were helping, so he talked to Vlad. Danny said if he couldn't be able to use his "powers", he wouldn't act so heroic, and asked Vlad to help him think of a solution. (Vlad knew Danny had some kinds of health problems and he tried to warn Danny of that) Vlad wanted to help the boy get better, so he informed Danny of his plan (he would separate Danny's "ghost self" and "human self"), and Danny (didn't really listen carefully at all) agreed to let him do anything that could solve the problem(s).

And the following event was similar to that of TUE. Vlad separated Danny into two "halves" (…in Vlad's mansion). Ghostly Danny went crazy, ripped out Vlad's ghost half and fused with the other ghost. Then there was Dan (he is often called Danny by other people in this AU, but I need to differ him from the other "Danny" in my writing. So let's call him "Dan" and call the remaining part of Danny "Daniel") (In this universe, if you separate a "part" from a halfa, you will get two "halfas". They didn't know, though).

This Vlad tried to protect Daniel from Dan, after realizing he was attacked by Danny's "ghost half". So he grabbed a gun and tried to shoot the "ghost" (there were weapons in his place…). But Dan wasn't going to hurt the "humans". Contrary to canon (TUE), Dan let Daniel live. He couldn't really recognize Daniel or Vlad at that time, and was so confused about what happened that he freaked out and flew away (without intending to destroy anything), leaving the unconscious Daniel and the frightened Vlad behind.

The next day Daniel woke up in his bed. He couldn't remember the details of the separation or the "accident". He thought Vlad didn't mention about splitting him at all (he was mad at Vlad). Jazz told him she knew about his secret life, so Daniel just told her everything. Jazz probably had an argument with Vlad after knowing what he did.

Meanwhile, Dan wandered in a large wood(woods) and finally realized what happened (although still unsure of the details). He didn't really have all Danny's (and Vlad's) memories. He didn't know what to do either. He didn't really hate Danny (or other people…) at all, and he wanted to have someone to talk to, so he flew back to the place where he was "created" (he could find the way…). He met Daniel at night, and had a conversation with the "human", though Daniel wasn't willing to talk much. Daniel was informed by Vlad that Dan was unstable and dangerous, but he didn't tell anyone else about meeting Dan. Daniel just didn't talk that much anymore. He didn't act exactly like Danny and seemed lifeless and unhappy, in Dan's opinion.

Dan still didn't know what to do. He wandered in Amity Park, and accidently caused some damages. He was surprised by the great powers he had, and was not sure how to feel about it. He met some people who thought he was a fan of Danny Phantom, which made him uncomfortable. He also came across some of Danny Phantom's enemies that mistook him for Phantom (or for Phantom's fan or something…) and attacked him. He was forced to fight with them. Dan beat those guys pretty easily, but he destroyed a whole street and people were scared (of him), so he ran away. After that, Dan attempted to interact with Daniel more, and to avoid Phantom's enemies. He followed and watched Daniel, but stayed "invisible" to other people. He found that he had most of Danny's and Vlad's ghostly abilities and could still "transform". He could "turn into" both Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom at will, but it didn't feel quite the same. Later he "transformed" in front of Daniel, which was definitely not something that Daniel wanted to see.

Dan started wearing casual clothes sometimes instead of his hazmat suit (he "borrowed" Daniel's clothes). He also used his "shapeshifting" ability more frequently. He disguised as "Danny", and hung around with Sam and Tucker, as well as showing up in front of Jazz. Daniel didn't stop him or something, despite the fact that he was really disturbed by Dan's behaviours. Some time later, Dan was exposed by some other ghosts, and there were more fights and more destruction. Someone tricked him into entering a natural ghost portal, and then he was "trapped" in Ghost Zone. …

Alright, I think I talked too much.

I just shared some basic concepts (settings) of my AU and a part of my outline of my freaking little stories (AU storyline??!) with you guys. 😂😂😂As for more details, I will talk about them in the future. 😂😂😂 (My post is too freaking long, and the writing is not very exciting anyway…🙄)

It's… just an outline, and I might or might not change something. 😂😂😂 It took me seven days (…about 8 days) to write and edit this post because I was super slow. I suppose I can just write fictions for this AU (I actually can try…), but my writing is verbose and not exciting enough (I lack of practice), and I am probably better at using drawings (graphics) to tell stories.

I guess I should translate this post into Mandarin Chinese, but I am tired (lazy). I haven't really drawn for a week, so I want to draw something.

I was looking through some of my old unfinished fanfics- And discovered this one from my old Danny Phantom hyperfixation.

I kinda just pasted the whole thing that I managed here- It’s basically if Jazz got ghost powers instead of Danny, but like- Different I guess?

Enjoy.

PLAZMA-JAZZ

Jazz (Pov)

Jazz had stayed home the day that Danny and his pals decided it would be a grand idea to make their way down to her parents lab. Sure, any other day she would've gone over to the library to study up on schoolwork at this particular plan- In fact, that had been what she would have done that day had no complications come up. However, it was late afternoon, and with her car mysteriously broken down under unknown circumstances, Jazz really didn't feel like walking.

She didn't know why, but she had this deep impending feeling that staying home was her best bet that day.

Of course, she knew better than to listen to unreasonable urges of fear for no obvious reason, but Jazz had a peculiarly long day, and she may as well catch up on some school work from the safety and sanctity of her own home.

The safety and sanctity that of which it should have stayed.

She had initially been focusing on the next 2 weeks of homework she had- When she heard the familiar sounds of her brother and his friends, chatting by the stairs and with hushed voices.

Jazz didn't know why she intervened, but she would never regret it.

“Danny- There is no way you're going in the labs unsupervised- Let alone without permission- That's practically rule number one and two on Mom’s list of laboratory safety!”

She remembered saying this to Danny, who was halfway down the cement stairs to the basement, and both he and his friends were clearly not amused with her attempts to keep them safe.

“Jazz, you need to relax-” He had said, rolling his eyes. “It's not like anything actually works down there.”

“Well… That is true…” Jazz paused before shaking her head and cementing her decision. It was her job as an older sister to make sure her younger brother didn't get hurt when he inevitably did something foolish and childlike. She was like his secondary parents. Sort of. In a way.

“Fine. Ok.” She relented, only for a moment, but only because she knew that Danny was far more reckless nowadays, and disobeying her was practically inevitable. No matter how hard she tried, she was most certainly NOT his parent. Besides, all she wanted was for him to be ok. She could make sure of that.

“-I know I can't stop you guys-”

Danny and his friends visibly brightened at the thought of her giving up and going away, but she would not falter. She may be a tad bit lenient, but not too much so that she was simply going to let the three 14 year olds go inside a dangerous laboratory with no regards for anything beyond them.

“But, I'm going with you guys. There's NO WAY I'm letting you mess around in mom and dads lab without proper supervision.”

Jazz had tried to ignore the whispers between her brother's friends- Words like ‘Buzzkill’ and ‘stick in the mud’ passing between them, but Jazz let it phase through her without a second thought.

She would take being a stick in the mud any day over the guilt of letting her brother get hurt.

And so, despite being not exactly how she wished to spend the rest of the evening, Jazz shrugged on her own protective bodysuit, modeled slightly after her mothers seeing that she was a growing young lady and her body was maturing. (Although she didn't forget to peel off the weird velcro sticker of her fathers face-) Despite the extreme doubt anything bad would happen, she decided on wearing the suit anyways, the 3rd most important rule of lab safety, protection just in case- She even went as far as to tie her long reddish orange hair back into a loose low ponytail.

After all, no loose hair in a lab either. She learned that lesson when she was 5 years old and dipped her hair in places it didn't belong. Irrelevant now though-

All in all, that is how she ended up being somewhat like a shadow in the background, watching the 3 14 year olds carefully as they dropped the wariness of Jazz being near and simply pretended she wasn't even there. Goofing off as normal kids do. It only made Jazz a tad bit jealous. She remembered being only slightly bitter watching them act so carefree. But she had also been glad for them. She was glad that they were enjoying being children, being little kids a little while longer-

-SAFELY of course, Jazz had thought, remembering the sharp look she gave the so-called defective inactive fenton portal.

In a household full of insanity and craziness, Jazz had to grow up fast. Somebody had to be the voice of reason after all.

But of course, even the most reasonable of people make mistakes, and at some point during the short lab tour, Jazz made her first error.

She had decided to take her eyes off of the 3 teens for a split second decision to multitask on some digital assignments, going as far as to utilize the Fenton family computer that just so happened to be located on her parents' nearby workbench.

It was a mistake for her to draw her attention away from the 3 foolish teenagers. Putting blind trust in a trio of freshmans is never the right way to go- And Jazz remembers the dropping feeling in the pit of her chest as she drew herself away from the computer at the sound of shuffling fabric and velcro peeling off of fabric.

“WHAT in the WORLD do you think you're doing!?!?” She had exclaimed, eyes blown wide with complete shock at the thought of what her brother had planned to do- Investigating the portal?! It was still experimental, the entire idea was foolish, to an extreme. She really thought her dear brother was brighter than this.

Even so, the raven headed boy only rolled his eyes at her with a small scoff, likely expecting her reaction to a point and shrugging, his own black accented and white base colored bodysuit moving as if it were a second skin as he blew her panicked words away.

“It's not like it works, Jazz, remember? So what's the harm in exploring?”

“Danny- While it may not have done what Mom and Dad intended for it, it's still super EXPERIMENTAL- You could get seriously hurt! Honestly Danny, you should know BETTER than to act like this!”

Jazz recalls how Danny bristled at this, squaring his shoulders as his baby blue eyes narrowed and he planted his feet firmly to the ground. Scowling, he retorted back with his hands raised with infuriation.

“To act like what-? An IDIOT? Newsflash Jazz, not EVERYONE is as smart as you.”

Taking a step closer to her younger brother- Unknowingly urging the younger boy to take a step back towards the portal- Jazz tried to mediate the conversation, but getting harder with how distanced her brother was getting.

“Danny! That is NOT what I'm saying. You are smart Danny! But there is a difference between being stupid and acting stupid- And listen to me when I say that going into that portal is a stupid idea!”

She tried not to yell, really she did. But you can't change memories- And Danny only seemed to be getting more irate by the second, eyebrows scrunching as he scowled, taking a few more steps back towards the portal. It was then, she recalled, something flashed in his eyes. An idea. Jazz had doubted it was anything good.

“You'll see Jazz- You have nothing to worry about!”

Luckily for Jazz, her reflexes from years of dodging ecto-contaminated dinners coming in handy for in a split second- Danny shoved her away and made a run for the portal, a big spiteful grin on his face while he did so. But Jazz was faster by just enough, arms darting forth to grasp her brother’s arm in a vice grip, and her teal eyes blazing now.

She had a long day, and all of it- The car breaking down, the pressure of school, and the STUPID sinking feeling in her gut- It all came crashing down. Jazz was irritated now, equally so, and with this in mind, she sunk back down to a lower level. She couldn't help but yell, tugging her brother's arm back towards her, while he held his ground.

(Perhaps, had she been paying more attention outside of her brother, she would have noticed how both Sam and Tucker, Danny’s friends, seemed to shake their heads in disappointment with how the evening was progressing. Sam, being particularly disappointed, and Tucker showing mild interest in how the interaction would end. Jazz doubted, had she been paying attention at the time, she would have cared.)

“Your acting immature!”

“And you're acting like a helicopter parent on STEROIDS! Let go of me!”

Tugging on his rubber gloved covered arm with her own suited limbs, she pulled back on him away from the device with a shake of the head, her red hair- Tied back into a low ponytail because having loose hair in a lab was also a no no- Hair flipping back and forth as she struggled to pull the younger boy away.

“No! You're endangering yourself and everyone else here- Stop fighting and get away from the portal!”

“Make me Jazz- What are you going to do? Lecture me away from it!?”

At this point, looking back, Jazz knew that the whole thing had escalated to a tipping point, into a terrible sibling spat. It's been a while since they have had one this bad… She knew that at this point, she should have regained her bearings and taken the role of the respective older person in the room, de-escalating the situation, as she should have a while ago…

But she had not been in the right mindset that day. She had been reduced to the same childlike level as her brother, and her demeanor was out of control. Everything, all the pressures and annoyance had crashed down on her, leaving her cool and collected mindset behind- Making her sensitive and vulnerable to sibling attacks. Danny knew just what buttons to press. But she didn't care about this at the time.

From her perspective, Danny never really wanted to go inside the portal- It likely had been one of her friends' ideas- And NOW, because she insisted otherwise, he wanted to go inside the portal just to hurt her. It wasn't fair, and she will admit that it made her mad. Her emotions were running high, and both Sam and Tucker were long forgotten.

All that mattered to her was to get back at her little brother and make him SEE-

So, when Danny shoved her- She shoved back.

“Danny- Listen to me-”

“Why do you always have to be in my business Jazz?! Don't you have better things to do- Like studying for the ‘I'M A TOTAL STUCK UP’ test?!”

“Argh! I'm in your business because I CARE for you!” Sniffing slightly, Jazz tried to swing Danny around so that he would be on the side closest to the door, but her efforts remained futile as he wrestled her back- (Unknowingly, the two of them only grew closer and closer to the gaping maw of the deactivated portal itself. She never should've let them down there. That portal was d a n g e r o u s…)

“And I am NOT a STUCK UP!”

“Are…” Danny paused to shove Jazz again- Face screwed in annoyance and exhaustion. “TOO!” He finished his sentence with a loud shout and another shove, but Jazz was ready this time, taking the opportunity to tackle him under the arms, but while this move had succeeded, her efforts to drag him away from the portal were still futile. Kicking and elbowing, Danny weaseled his way out of her grip with a fierce scowl, somehow the duo making their way inches from the lip up to the portal.

Funny thing about Fentons- They never backed down and were stubborn as bulls. Neither party would go down without a fight, as silly as it was for Jazz to admit. She really had been acting foolish- The world likely punished her accordingly…

Gripping her brothers wrists tightly, she began to walk forward with Danny walking backwards, both too busy in their squabble to notice how they stepped up onto the ledge leading to the portal and where making their way inside the dark abyss of the machinery itself.

She should've noticed sooner.

“Danny! Just! Stop it!”

“No you stop it Jazz! You're embarrassing me in front of my friends!!!”

“You’re IMPOSSIBLE Danny!”

(Meanwhile, Sam and Tucker slowly begin to approach the portal where the two siblings continue to fight, Tucker audibly wishing he had brought popcorn and Sam punching him in the shoulder in response. Sam wonders vaguely if they should step in before things go sour. If only she stepped in sooner-)

At this point, both Jazz and Danny seemed to devolve into dirty tactics, with Danny kicking at her knees and Jazz pushing him harshly out of the way in hopes of swinging him out of the portal. Pretty much atomic at this point, Danny was reaching a blowing point, and the opposite for Jazz, who finally was beginning to come to her senses.

They were in the portals deactivated gaping maw- She had to get them out. The machinery was dark and cold, she had to-

Danny shoved her abruptly once again, further into the portal but close enough to the edge that they could just as easily get out- They wrestled while standing a little longer, white and black meeting blue and black, and baby blue meeting cyan.

Danny reached the tipping point, and Jazz practically could see his brain blow up from behind young, irrational eyes.

“ARGH!!! JAZZ- SOMETIMES I THINK I JUST HATE YOU!!!”

“...”

…Danny’s eyes widened exponentially as he managed to weasel an arm out of Jazz’s now limp grip, and placed a hand on his mouth as if to reverse the words that came out of it.

The world felt frozen for a second. In the background, both Sam and Tucker’s mouths agape with shock, eyes darting between their friend and his sister as if debating their own reactions.

… Jazz couldn't breathe. Once again- Emotions clouded her judgment, hand hovering over her slightly agape mouth as her eyes began to water slightly.

“You. You…”

She knew he didn't mean it. He couldn't. But how dare she let this escalate to the point where he felt the urge to say such a thing. Danny didn't take it back either. He only stood there, frozen just as she had been as they both took steps back away from each other. The white and black jumpsuit wearing 14 year old seemed to wilt under her gaze, cyan eyes which had begun to soften at the sight of him.

“I-”

His voice died in his throat and Jazz straightened up to take another step back- To create more distance between them, the silence in the air thick enough to qualify as the fenton family fudge-

But the funny thing about the portal was that it was particularly narrow for all rights and purposes… Nowhere really to back up into except-

“Oh… I'm so sorry Dan- DANNY!!!”

Jazz hadn't thought. Hand clicking a button from behind her, she heard the faint beginnings of a whir sound, signaling the portal being turned on. Danny, Danny looked terrified- A spark of green illuminating his pale face as the color drained from the both of them.

Jazz had not thought.

She moved before she could even process what she had been doing.

She couldn't let her brother get hurt.

Not on her watch.

No.

She was his big sister.

Practically his parent.

And parents had a duty to keep.

“JAZZ!!!”

She put her everything into the push- Shoving the younger boy out of the portal so hard, he practically tumbled into both Sam and Tucker as if they were pins in a bowling alley. Jazz would've been close behind, but somehow in all the scuffle, her foot got tangled in a pile of wires.

Danny tried to get to her, but Tucker and Sam held him back.

The portal hissed now with beginning power- And Jazz got that feeling. That sinking feeling. The same one she had felt when she woke up that morning. That same one she felt the rest of the day. A single split second slowed into hours as she attempted to free her foot from her tangled up bindings, furthermore tripping in the process.

She. Was. Stuck.

She had so much left to live for.

Who was going to drive Danny to school in the mornings?

Who would be the one to make second dinners when the food prepared by her parents inevitably came alive and attempted to murder them?

Who would be the one to tell Danny that he should work on his homework?

Who was going to be the one keeping this family from falling apart?

Who?

That didn't matter.

It would be fine. It had to be.

The portal isn't working- Remember? Logically it wasn't going to- It couldn't-

In those few seconds, Jazz could see Danny and his two other friends, standing just outside the portal with faces pale and reflecting an eerie green glow as the portal sparked a tad bit more- Jazz only let out a breath, hot and smoky somehow as she extended her arm out in a final attempt to escape.

In a split second, fire entered her veins-

Then everything turned green.

And

Danny (Pov)

“Jazz…?”

Danny’s emotions were completely out of whack, that was for sure. It made sense, after all, everything had gone so fast. Deciding to go down to the labs. Putting the dumb fenton hazmat suit on. Deciding to go inside the portal… Fighting…

T̶e̶l̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶p̶e̶r̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶f̶a̶m̶i̶l̶y̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶h̶a̶d̶ ̶a̶l̶w̶a̶y̶s̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶h̶i̶m̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶h̶e̶ ̶H̶A̶T̶E̶D̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶-̶

“I didn't mean it, Jazz… I- I didn't mean it…”

This couldn't be real. It couldn't be.

Jazz never did have a knack for practical jokes.

For some reason it was hard to breathe.

Sam and Tucker looked no less horrified, their vice grip on his arms practically going limp as he slumped out of their hold and to his knees, his blue gaze never once leaving the swirling green portal that had been where his sister once stood.

He never heard her scream like that before, let alone at all really.

Jazz had always been good at covering her true emotions with a smile to protect him. To make him feel safe.

Heart beating in his ears as he stared blankly at the portal, casting an eerie glow on his pale face, he no longer felt safe anymore.

Jazz was….

Dead.

Probably.

No. She couldn't be.

Right?

He told her that he hated her and didn't even apologize for it. He didn't even take it back. His last words to her were absolutely rotten- The worst thing he could have ever said. All for what, to push her buttons?

It didn't help the fact that this only happened to her because of him.

Because of him.

Him.

̶I̶̶̶t̶̶̶ ̶̶̶w̶̶̶a̶̶̶s̶̶̶ ̶̶̶s̶̶̶u̶̶̶p̶̶̶p̶̶̶o̶̶̶s̶̶̶e̶̶̶d̶̶̶ ̶̶̶t̶̶̶o̶̶̶ ̶̶̶b̶̶̶e̶̶̶ ̶̶̶h̶̶̶i̶̶̶m̶̶̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶p̶o̶r̶t̶a̶l̶-̶̶̶ ̶̶̶

“I'm sorry… I'm sorry Jazz… I didn't me-ean it… I didnt…” Speaking now felt like there was cement in his throat, and something hot and salty dripped down his cheeks from his wide blue eyes, past his mouth and under his chin. The sound of the portal whirring was too much sound stimulation for him at the moment. The chipped black fingernail painted hand resting on his shoulder felt like the weight of a thousand hammers- And he could practically feel Tuckers trembling from here.

Like a dam being broken, Danny flinched violently, teeth clenching loudly and in a bout of morbid devastation, he stood on shaky knobbly knees, not yet processing his actions. His blue eyes never left the swirling green death device as he managed a few steps forward, slow muttering of manic apologies tripping over his tongue as Sam’s hand slipped off his shoulder and hit her skirt with a resounding fwump. A wave of terror washed over the three fresh teens, Danny taking another shaky step in the portal's direction as Tucker’s voice broke the air.

“We… Your sister… Danny we just saw your sister DIE- How are you-”

“Tucker!” There was probably a punch to the arm that followed, Tucker being the most precipitated recipient, but it was likely it held no strength and either way Danny could not hear it.

All he could hear was the static sound of the portal and the echoing scream of his only sister.

“She. She isn't. She can't be- She can’t- She isnt de-Heh-” He couldn't finish the sentence without clamping a hand over his mouth and withholding a gag at the thought. He couldn't breathe. He didn't WANT to breathe. Not when the sickeningly sweet, yet sour smell of burnt human flesh still permeated in the air.

His fault.

His fault she was-

His stiff zombie-like stagger turned into a shaky speed walk- Eyes wide and unblinking still as he continued his approach towards the swirling green portal. He was close enough now to touch. Close enough to see. To see…

A sharp pain in his eyes caused him to gasp loudly and cover them with an arm, the other arm quickly being grasped and held firmly by a pair of pale hands- Sam having come up behind him once it dawned on her what Danny was trying to do.

“Don’t. Don't look.” Her voice was firm, but her grip was shaky, and Danny ripped his arm away with ease, blinking harshly from lack of blinking before refixing his stare towards the swirling green tear in reality. He needed to see. His morbid thoughts seemed to swirl in his mind as the possibilities churned inside.

What exactly would he see? What was left?

“Jazz. Jazz. I'm sorry, I just-”

“Ngh…”

All three of them froze.

A sound. From inside the device.

The slumped figure in the portal moved, shifting from where it lay unmoving.

It seemed to find its footing before stumbling a bit, obviously very disoriented as it leaned up against the wall of the portal in a very vulnerable position.

Something was inside the portal.

Moving.

Towards them.

Danny could feel something in his chest soar-

Backing away, Sam and Tucker once again attempted to coerce Danny away from the portal, but he simply wouldn't- COULDN'T- Draw his eyes away from the flickering figure.

Could it be?

Was that…

Hope?

Or was it…

Fear?

“Danny- Get away from there!- There's something-”

Sam didn't have time to finish her shout before the figure stumbled out of the portal with wobbly feet, its tall figure lunging forward to grasp on something, anything to break its fall. A loud whooshing sound permeated throughout the room as the blur of SOMETHING practically tumbled into Danny, who happened to break the rather solid seeming things fall exponentially.

“Gah…” Rubbing his bonked head sorely, he positioned himself up again to a sitting position, the figure which had barreled into him attempting to bring itself to its knees as well, Danny’s own eyes casting upwards to meet its own…

In an instant, the blue eyed, ravenette couldn't breathe again.

The figure, female it seemed, had bright lighting blue neon hair pulled into a low ponytail, almost ethereal looking as she stared at him with bright reddish orange ectoplasmic eyes. She seemed to blink down at him with such confusion.

She wore a bright orange jumpsuit with white accents and a pair of orange goggles hung loosely on her neck. Face slender and a nose just like his own, Danny couldn't help but breathe out her name with a stifled sob.

“Jazz?”

“Danny? What…” The ghostlike person hesitated a second, pulling herself up to standing position, she put a hand up to swipe away a stray hair escaping her ponytail- Only to freeze at the sight of her newly white colored gloves and brightly colored glowing hair. She stared at Danny and his friends with such genuine confusion, with her glowing reddish orange eyes shining brightly as she did so.

Gulping loudly, Jasmine Fenton, half ghost, half human psychiatrist hopeful, as well as established older sister- Had to take a few steps back.

“What… Happened to me?...”

Danny tried his hardest not to cry- But was greatly unsuccessful.

After all, it was that night when everything changed…

That was the night his big sister, his only sister, died a death that didn't belong to her…

Kinda.

***Chapter start:***

“-Despair evaporates when we stop denying who we really are attempt to uncover and accept our true nature- However-”

Jazz Fenton felt a sharp jab to her side, startling her out of her ambient morning reading, red hair flipping to the side as to face the perpetrator head on, swiveling where she sat by the kitchen counter.

“Psst! Hey!” Her brother, Danny Fenton, hissed loudly- Leaning forward in his chair in a clear attempt to grasp her attention, waving his arms a tad and such. Jazz could only frown and glance him over quizzically, wishing to get this over with so she could go back to reading the wise and thought provoking words of Nigel C. Benson- Author of the current psychology book she was reading to clear her head for the day.

“What? What is it?” She stage whispered horribly back- To which her brother stared at her with wide blue eyes- Waving his hands around and glancing about frivolously- Before grimacing nervously, furrowing his brow almost hesitantly and pointing up at his face with both hands.

“Your uh- Your face is uh-”

Danny cast a few more furtive glances in the direction of their mother, Maddie Fenton, who seemed to be working on some sort of device at the dinner table- Blow torch illuminating her mask covered face in an almost haunting way.

Jazz was confused for a moment, before it dawned on her- Chills running up her spine as she glanced over quickly in the direction of the nearest reflective object- This being a toaster and-

“Gah!” Low and behold, Jazz’s head was completely invisible! She tried to shake the transparency away with a frantic shake of her head- Which worked somehow, but it also succeeded in mussing up her normally smoothly brushed out red hair. Even so, she was glad for the warning- Facing her brother again with a concerned expression painting her face, she gestured upwards in hopes that all of her top half was now fully visible and she didn't miss a spot- Danny sent her a wink and a dorky thumbs up, while her only response was to smile thinly and sweat drop the tiniest bit.

“Thanks Danny-”

“Itph nophin relleh-” Danny scooped another spoonful of cereal into his mouth whilst speaking, spattering milk and food bits everywear as he shrugged and Jazz cringed away begrudgingly with a painted smile. Boys- Ain't it so?

She was glad for her brother nonetheless- Getting caught invisible by their parents certainly would NOT end well- That was for sure…

Jumping upwards, the two siblings watched with almost casual expressions as Maddie Fenton leaped from her seat at the dinner table with a bright grin, hands on her hips while doing so and nodding firmly at the sight of her latest creation.

“Okay! All it'll take is about 2 or so days- And it's done!”

“What did you say?” Leave it to Jack Fenton, their father, to pop out of the woodwork at the sound of an invention being proclaimed. Maddie Fenton seemed to want to say something to the disastrous behemoth of a man- But he was a bit too quick and excitable for her. Both Jazz and Danny sweat dropped at the sight of the older male sweeping the device off the table, out of his wife’s reach, in order to display the invention outwards towards the ceiling dramatically as if it were baby jesus.

“Is it done? IT'S DONE! The Fenton Finder is done!!!”

Shaking the device slightly in the air- Or was it his arms simply trembling from keeping them up for so long- He let out a hearty laugh and brought the device closer to his abdominal area in order to flick on a few switches and press a button or two to activate the device. Proudly, he pointed a finger upwards in a matter of factly position… Much to the ire of his wife.

“This baby uses only the most high end, Fenton Family patented, satellite technology to lead us to any ghost in the vicinity- Rain or shine!”

“It uses what to track what?” Danny raised a dark eyebrow and tilted his head at the sight of his father stroking the device close to his face- Maddie seemingly accepting the situation for what it is and allowing a smile to ghost onto her face as well. She seemed to swoop in after Jack, leaning over his arm in order to press one more button on the back, causing an automated voice to emanate from the device- Paired with the small tiny signaling dish to swivel around like a spinning dog.

Jazz shuffled in her seat awkwardly- While Danny leaned forward a bit more to gain insight.

>Welcome to the FENTON FINDER™ A ghost is near. WALK FORWARD<

The automated voice reverberated through the room as the two adults walked in unison, following the beeping noise of the Fenton Finder™ with great anticipation- Meanwhile, Jazz gulped loudly- Closing her book for the time being and a sliding it to the side in order to pay careful attention to the situation at hand.

>WALK FORWARD<

The beeping grew louder as both the parents stepped closer and closer in Jazz’s direction- In only a few seconds, the red haired 16 year old was practically nose to chest with a neon orange hazmat suit- Cyan eyes glancing bashfully upwards to meet bright blue eyes. Sweat practically pouring from both she and Danny’s heads by the bucket full.

Beeping a few times, the Fenton Finder™ spoke once more.

>Ghost Located. Thank you for using the FENTON FINDER™ Dispose of THE GHOST immediately<

Taking a step back, both Maddie and Jack glanced at each other quizzically, Jazz and Danny both watching the two adults with rapt attention- Panic clearly painted on their features while Jazz fiddled nervously with her fingers.

Jack Fenton hummed dopily, giant thumb coming to pinch his chin with confusion.

“What? Oh that can't be right…”

“Well honey- I did say it would be finished in a few days- Not now… Its not finished yet-”

Jazz let out a breath of hot air, tension leaving her body as it began to fluctuate a few times, much to the terror of her brother who could only stand beside her as in a span of a few seconds, Jazz went invisible, intangible, floaty, and glowy all in a quick succession before returning to a normal human state. Albiate, a tad bit disoriented.

Shaking her head with a furrowed brow, Jazz faced the two adults solemnly as she placed a normal hand on her nearby psychology book- Danny looking on with an unreadable expression.

“Actually… Mom? Dad? I have something extremely important I need to tell you-”

“Oh GEEZ look at the TIME!!!” Jazz is taken aback alongside her parents at the sound of two hands slamming onto the counter abruptly- Danny coming to a standing position with both his arms either side in front of him and a giant nervous grin etched onto his features like a really uncomfortable statue. Pushing back out of his seat quickly and wrapping an arm around Jazz’s own empty arm, he let out a forced laugh- Wagging a finger for extra emphasis for his words.

“Look- This chat has been GREAT- But it's time for Jazz to drive me to school!!! After all- You know how it is! Nowadays, a young, growing, adolescent teenager like myself can't afford to be late for school- You know, and miss out on all that great knowledge and brain stuff! You know me- I love school! School school school!!!”

“Danny what-” Jazz didn't have time to finish her sentence, before she found herself being dragged off and out the door by the younger sibling of hers- Leaving both their parents in a state of confusion- Watching on as Danny abruptly shoved Jazz out the door with a giant fake smile and rambles pouring from his mouth like a sprinkler.

“C'mon Jazz- Let's GO- See you guys later- Love you guysgottogoBYE!”

Jazz no longer tried to resist as Danny practically dragged her into the driver's seat- Slamming her car door with such force, she couldn't help but fumble out of her seat slightly. Even so, once Danny was buckled in the passenger seat- She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and put her key in the ignition…

Meanwhile- Inside the house and watching the bizarre behavior of their children through the living room window, Maddie and Jack Fenton could only tilt their heads and ponder away.

Maddie let out a loud hum, her glove covered dainty fingers coming upwards to tap against her chin with an inquisitive look on her face.

“Huh. That's… Odd. Danny is almost never this excited to go to school… He's been acting so strangely lately…”

“There can only be one explanation…” Jack paused for a moment before a light in his brain blinked on and he raised a finger in exclamation- Much to his wife’s confusion.

“That's not our little slacker! That's a ghost! In DISGUISE!”

“Jack- That’s- OH! That would explain how the Fenton Finder picked up an ecto-signature!”

Maddie’s eyes seem to widen from behind her goggles with this observation, now facing her husband with equal vigor coinciding with her own exclamation. The both of them now seemed to meet each other's gazes, speaking in unison.

“That means…”

Jack was the first to pounce towards the front door- Rocking his fist in the air as if in retribution and his other hand reaching over to his zipper pocket to grasp the keys to the Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle- GAV for short. Maddie followed him close behind as Jack bellowed to the open air.

“Never fear Jazzy!!! We’ll save you from that ghost scum!!! Daddy’s little princess!!!”

***

“I just don't see the appeal in keeping it a secret Danny- Mom and Dad love us, and they would never do anything to hurt me…”

“... On purpose you mean.”

Jazz didn't make eye contact with her black haired teenage brother in the passenger seat beside her, in favor of keeping her cyan blue eyes on the road- Steady foot on the gas pedal as her hands gripped the steering wheel firmly. Fiery orange hair whipping out behind her, and messy black bed head hair doing something similar, the two teenagers seemed almost normal sitting in the seats of the open topped red convertible.

Despite the clear distast in the open air concerning the conversation, Danny Fenton took Jazz’s silence as a signal to keep going, leaning forward in the convertible’s passenger seat to level his older sister with a blank unamused stare, though the slight curling of his lips betrayed the initial deadpan expression he had been aiming for.

“It's been a month, Jazz. A month, and I don't really see you jumping for joy at the opportunity to tell them that their only daughter isn't exactly the most human nowadays. You're not ever going to tell them, are you?”

“I am going to tell them!” Jazz sounded indignant before her eyes flickered off to the side slightly, her soft pink lips curling downwards a tad more into a frown. It almost seemed like she was convincing herself of this fact, sweat beading near her temple as she shifts her hand placement on the wheel, and a sigh billows from her lungs.

“... Eventually.”

“Rrrrrrriiiighhht.” Danny leaned back into his seat with a cross of his arms and a lazy smirk painting his expression. This makes Jazz face the boy again, this time with an extra determined look on her face.

“No really- I will!”

“It's fine Jazz, you don't have to explain yourself. I get it. No reasonable superhero wants to reveal their secret alias to their parents- It's expected even!” Jazz could only frown curiously at Danny’s words, face curling into a processing expression, before glancing over at Danny fondly again and turning the wheel at the next intersection.

“Hero ali- Danny. I'm not a superhero. These aren't superpowers, these are just the aftereffects of the accident, that's all. They will fade in time, I'm sure…”

“Again. Been a month. I think we're past the point of ghostly refunds.”

Jazz and Danny met eyes again, before the orange haired 16 year old halfa shook her head and stopped for another intersection, lifting the lever for her blinker and the dashboard began to click, signaling she was to be turning right. She could only sigh at her brother's antics, noting how pleased he looked in his theorem.

“Still. Not a superhero Danny- Who would I even battle against? The only ghosts we've seen come out of the portal are those weird octopus thingies- But even then, putting those guys back in the portal does not exactly count as an epic superpowered battle like it does in your video games.”

“Well- These kinds of things don't just HAPPEN to a person for no reason! You have superpowers Jazz- REAL superpowers. It's a only a matter of time before bad guys start to show up- And let's be real, Mom and Dad are NOT ready for that kind of confrontation, so it's gonna be up to you to beat em’ back to the front lines”

“Yeah right Danny. Besides, unlike your comic book heroes, I much prefer to fight my battles passively. After all-” Jazz waggled a finger condescending with her free hand in the direction of Danny, a calm preening smile grazing her features while she did so.

“-Words have power too y'know.”

“Right.” Danny flashed a thin smile in Jazz’s direction, leaning forwards a bit to squint blankly in her vicinity. Feigning innocence, he tilted his head in false condescension.

“I'll have to remember that when an evil, all powerful ghost kidnaps me and tries to eat my face off or something..”

Cyan colored eyes flickering upwards, Jazz noted the stoplight in the distance- The school was getting closer, halfway there, she figured. Getting closer to the stoplight, now turning yellow, she moved her foot from the gas over to the brake pedal, getting ready to ease down on it, but not quite putting pressure. Concerning the conversation between her and her younger brother, the red head only shrugged playfully and rolled her eyes fondly.

“Well, I guess we're just going to have to cross that bridge when we get there. And for the record, I DO plan on telling Mom and Dad about my situation- I just… I think it would be best for everyone if i got these new abilities in check beforehand… I mean- I could barely control them as it is-”

“You've been doing just fine right now...”

Jazz let out a noncommittal hum in response to Danny's short notation, but didnt grace him with another retort, now beginning to press down onto the brake pedal, seeing that a busy yellow stop light was coming up. It was true, throughout this whole drive, Jazz had been yet to fall ill to any of her current ghostly attribute issues- The thought made her lip curl upwards. Perhaps she finally found her anchor, allowing her ghost powers to settle and stay dormant under her skin, driving the answer? That didn't sound right, but neither did ghost powers in general…

Who was she to look a gift horse in the mouth, coming up on the stoplight, speed now starting to gradually diminish, she had to admit it was true- Her ghost powers were not acting out throughout this whole drive… Was it luck or happenstance? She didn't know…

She just hoped thinking this in her mind wouldn't…

Jinx….

It…

Jazz suddenly felt a buzzing feeling in her leg, the hot resting bubble of feeling in her chest soaring as her heart dropped into her stomach.

“Jazz…” Danny’s blue eyes flashed nervously in her direction, speaking with a small lilt in his voice, pushing himself back in his passenger seat as the car continued onwards closer to the next stoplight intersection, showing no signs of stopping as Jazz punched her foot down frantically.

“Jazz- There's a stoplight coming up- Jazz, we should stop-!”

Danny glances over to the driver frantically, only for his expression to shift into one of terror, the sight of his sister beginning to phase straight through the bottom of her seat and holding onto the steering wheel for dear life causing him to lurch forwards with an alarmed yelp.

“Jazz!!!”

“Danny! Danny pull me up!!! Pull me up!!!” Jazz could only screech as the stoplight grew closer, only a few feet away as the car began to swerve, her younger brother Danny now beginning to claw at her shoulders in an attempt to yank her back out of the car cushions and into sitting position. He wasn't the most successful, and Jazz's bottom half continued to remain intangible, cushions now up past her chest, arms fully extended and clutching onto the steering wheel for dear life.

“Ah!- Ah!- Break!!! Break- Where-”

“LEFT DANNY!!!”

The screech of his older sister rattled Danny to his bones, and the honking of a horn to their side forced the 14 year old into a panic- Slamming his own foot straight through his sister's transparent lower torso last minute and onto the brake pedal.

SCREECH!!!

“OOF!”

“Argh!”

Rubbing his head where it had rammed into the dashboard, and keeping his foot plastered firmly on the brake pedal- Danny Fenton could only stare out into the distance of the windshield, past the giant dent in the dashboard where his skull had rammed into, wearing an expression identical to the resident ghost girls own features, who now seemed to gain a semi balance of ghostly control and began hovering upwards from her place inside the diverse seat cushions. Floating above her seat, she let out a small noise as the sudden bout of weightlessness deactivated causing her to fall not so gently into her seat. Even so, the two shaken up teens continued to stare blankly outwards, both their hair now mussed up and windswept, trembling like leaves and for a few moments the world was silent.

The light turned green.

The sound of honking frantically from behind snapped the red headed teen out of her stupor, causing her to blink harshly a few seconds before shaking her head. Shakily, Jazz nudged Danny's foot away with her own and pressed onto the gas pedal, crossing the intersection only to stutter to a stop by the next curb, placing the vehicle in park.

Jazz let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and slowly turned to face her brother. Turning the key and pulling out, the red convertible stuttered to a stop.

“H-How do you feel about walking to school Danny?”

“Great. Fantastic. I could walk. Just as soon as my legs stop feeling like jello.”

Jazz could only sigh, glancing downwards at her own legs, which seemed to flicker a bit alongside the rest of her body. She shook her head almost somberly.

“You're telling me Danny… You are telling me…”

(And that’s all I got back then. lol)

It was a safety switch

So I'm actually obsessed with the idea that the "on" button Danny hit going into the portal wasn't actually an on button like one you get in a computer.

In basically any legally compliant workspace where I am (and I think in the western world broadly) you get these big red EMERGENCY STOP buttons that tend to be every few feet and on every machine so if something goes wrong people don't have to run far to make what ever's going wrong stop going wrong

It Was A Safety Switch

Now to me that thing looks pretty much exactly like this thing

It Was A Safety Switch

With a different layout, but the big red button is the subject of interest

Jack and Maddie seem to have cartoon consistency in their lab safety protocols, which checks out honestly given that's what they are, but It makes sense to me that they didn't so much put the ON button on the inside of the portal as that they flipped the power off to finish the final checks on the portal and then

Forgot About The Emergency Stop

(Incase people dont know, emergency stop buttons stop all the machinery it's attatched to. This can be anything from Only One Machine to literally an entire floor or building depending on the levels of "oh shit everything needs to stop RIGHT NOW." They're usually 'released' at a seperate point which can be anything from the keys in the panel above to a seperate button/keypad. Or, like the ones we had in our high school, the original red button that was pushed but you had to twist it to get it to pop back up. Kind of like a weird child lock)

So I'm proposing that the Fenton Parents, instead of being idiots in their planning and putting the on switch somewhere insane when they were drawing the schematics, actually built in a safety feature they forgot they tripped

Essentially, the Fenton parents were EXTRA safe in their lab and it half killed Danny

you should definitely follow the link to the other thread, it’s just as hilarious. If I laugh much more, I might just die from lack of oxygen. 😂

I also love this plot thread, and hope i gets another part. I absolutely had to share. 😁

When Dick called home, begging to come back from his undercover work, he dialed the wrong number. He dialed Fentonworks phone.

Jack Fenton answered.

Jack Fenton sounds so much like Bruce at first listen if someone is tired and emotionally wrecked that Dick started going on his tangeant, pleading to come home.

Jack Fenton doesn't mind more kids at all! Neither does Maddie!

Jack tells him to come home and gives him the address to Fentonworks, and gets the guest room set up and ready to go.

Dick, finally arriving three days later, still sleep deprived and not all there, stares at the blimp on the building and starts to think he may have dialed the wrong number.

He doesn't have time to cry and go back, though, because Jack and Maddie Fenton whirlwind their way out the door and corral him into his new bedroom, treating him like he's always been their son and he's just been gone for awhile.

And Dick...Dick needs this. He's three steps from a mental breakdown, can't think past two sentences worth of planning, and he hasn't slept in who knows how long. He can regret later, right now, he'll take it.

He allows them to tuck him into bed, allows himself to fall asleep, and leaves the freaking out to a more awake him.

Danny, meanwhile, is having a little chat with a few of the ghosts that regularly follow Dick Grayson, and goes invisible and intangible to just...fly over to where this guy had been and steal the info he was after.

Because holy shit, that dude looks like he needs a break.

Or: Dick gets adopted as an adult by the Fentons instead of Bruce, and gets a really weird support network.

Fun sized and feral

I will probably slow down once I get through my backlog of prompts but for now it's gonna be one a day.

Prompt: Everyone in Amity knows three specific facts about the Fentons:

1. They are the go-to for any/all ghost related issues. For best results try to go youngest to oldest.

2.they are some of, if not the most nice/helpfully people in Amity. 100% everyone of them will help you if needed no questions asked. It will be over the top and maybe a bit cringy but if you need help ghost related or not find a Fenton.

3. They are fucking FERAL if you threaten someone they claimed as theirs. For all the eldest fentons used to claim they hated all ghosts, right from the start they all showed very ghost like tendencies.

Thier neighbors, thier kids, thier town. You don't mess with someone claimed by a Fentons. They may drive you crazy, but if you were claimed by a Fenton, you were one of the safest people in the world.

The level of feral seemed to go based on size. The smaller they were, the more concentrated the feral was.

Danny is the youngest and smallest (ironically, his ghost form grew to be 6'5" where his human half stayed at 5'1")

despite the eldritch effect you get in ghost form his is actually calmer when bigger. It is yet to be seen if it is because he is stronger and does not want to hurt some one or if size does actually effect the concentration of feral.

Jazz is the second youngest but took after her dad and stands at a breath taking 6'4" with a love of heels.

Maddie is two years younger the jack and the second smallest 5'6" (everyone knows she is the more dangerous parent)

Jack it the eldest and tallest standing at 6'9" While he is the arguably the most happy and hardest Fenton to anger he has been know to smash through walls when he gets excited and forgets to use the door.

I have a dp x dc scene for this but it is not done yet. I will post it tomorrow with the tag funsized and feral!

I pity y'all out there doing boxing day shopping. That is a level of crazy I can't handle xD

Isekai into a Novel

At a Gala

Nightwing looked at all the ones who are with him there: "So are we all here until we get the true ending of the story?"

Artemis: "Yes."

Nightwing: "Okay, who here has read the story?"

Kid Flash: "I have! It's a fantasy adventure story. The main villain, the Cold Archduke of the North, is like the worst villains we and the Justice League has ever fought. A truly evil, future cold-blooded tyrant who rules with an iron fist and blood. He never smiles and is an emotionally constipated, bloodthirsty god of war."

Zatanna: "We would see him right at this Gala and should be called next I think."

Speaker of the Room: "We call Archduke Daniel Fenthorne of Specterville and his daughter, Princess Dawn Fenthorne!"

Dick looked at his teammates: "Dawn?"

Kid Flash: "There was no one called Dawn in the novel."

The door opened and Danny walked in with little Ellie/Dawn holding his hand as he knelt before the Emperor.

Emperor: "My boy! You have a daughter!"

The Archduke smiled warmly and lovingly in the room. "Yes, that was the favour I came to ask."

Emperor: (jumping up) "Of course, I will legitimise her! Now let me see the young girl!" +

Kid Flash to the others: "This is also new. In the original story, the Emperor didn't like him very much. This looks like a father/grandfather and son seeing their granddaughter for the first time."

Aqualad: "So we have no idea of the original story. Except that this man later became the Greatest of all Evil."

Dick looked around and noticed his missing sister: "Where's Cass?"

Zatanna looked at the note and laughed, showing it to Dick: "I Can Fix HIM."

Cass made her way to Lord Daniel as he looked at Dawn talking to the Emperor.

+++ Because of Vlad, the Fenton family had been isekai'd into the novel.

Since they arrived here, Danny had enjoyed spending time with his family. He liked this place, and Dawn was adorable as a tiny toddler. His mum, dad and Jazz loved playing with her too. Coming here because of Vlad was a blessing in disguise.

Road trip of Horror

"Jazzy-kin?"

"Here!"

"Danny-Boy?"

"Here."

"Dan the Man?"

"Ugh... here."

"Nelly-Bell?"

"Here, dad!"

Jack smiled at the sight of his children. He turned back to see Maddie shooting him a smile before calling out for all of them to get into the GMV, that they were burning sunlight. They needed to be at Gotham soon as possible. They were being sponsored by Wayne Enterprise for a project and the family decided to make it into a road trip.

A very twisted fun road trip.

-.-

"Uh... dad... Where's Danny and Dan?"

In the distance a clown laughed as he kidnapped twin teens, planning on using them as hostages.

That poor... poor... well. He had it coming.

"Can I kill him?"

"You're still on parole."

"Are you going to kill him?"

"Eh.... don't feel like it yet."

"Should we leave now or later?"

"If we leave now, he'll take another hostage. Later... mom and dad will kick his ass. He'd be lucky if Jazz gets to him first."

"You know.... I'm not in a hurry to run off yet."

"You just want to see his head on a pike."

"Don't you?"

"I mean... that's if Batman doesn't save us first."

"Ugh... Hope not."

-.-

Are.... are they his kids?

Black hair.

Blue eyes.

Very similar features.

"My boys!!!!!"
