Dive into your creative stream
Sometimes, sometimes, you realize that there are things more important than the work you have to do. Like yourself. Your heart. Your emotional and mental state. Don’t like stress from materialistic assignments ever compromise that.
It’s ok to not do work when you’re feeling sad. That’s what I’m doing rn. I just got one bawling and homework is the LAST thing I want to do. And you know what, that’s ok. Fuck school for prioritizing deadlines over mental and emotional health. Take some personal time for yourself!
Eventually the stress due to panic will go away. That assignment due at midnight you procrastinated on and didn't finish? It's ok, after a while you'll become immune to these things. Finish at 1 am, or just the next day, 10 hours won't make much of a difference to your grade!
If you ever feel guilty about procrastinating, just do something somewhat productive but that is still much more fun than your work! i.e., make a bday card for someone who's bday is weeks away, make pretty notebook labels, memorize the presidents, etc!
Accept that you’re not gonna change :( :/
Go outside. Just do it. No matter how much homework you have. If it is a beautiful day, go take a walk. Listen to your fav music. Everything will be alright.
It IS possible to run away from your problems. Not indefinitely, but until you're ready. Sleep in, miss stuff, skip stuff, avoid stuff,..... haven't pulled out the Run Away To A Distant Land yet, but I was legit about to when I came back from a short vaca and really wanted to avoid the work I was dreading by heading off to Europe.
