Riot recently went for a routine neuter and I was surprised to find that his food drive is back in FULL force.
He has been begging for food off my plate (something he's never done) and wolfing his own food without pause (getting him to finish a bowl used to be near impossible). Apparently he just needed the good ol' chop.
Either way, his training can now continue, better than before, even.
Poor dude was SO high after his neuter.
Went back home for the weekend. All dogs got their updated vaccines and rabies, and they'll be getting baths before we move into our new apartment.
We took a break today and just relaxed. He decided to participate in a short training session, otherwise spent most of the day tethered.
TBH probably going to use this as my training adventures with this boy. Working on more positive training methods. Eventually, he'll be a service dog but for now, still in training.
Currently working on a generalized settle in the house without the use of a placebed. It's too cold to be outside so he uses a treadmill for now once a day. We're finally interested in working again.
A fun afternoon with my favourite 4-legged nephew, Carl @sdit_carl and his daddy Jake @jake_and_carl @jake.maurice. Started with training and playing in Gage Park. Then McDonald's for dinner, then a trip to Wal-Mart where I bought him a small toy. He was so good. We worked on his distraction training and he really improved a lot in just 1 afternoon. Smart puppy - and so damn cute. They are a great team already. He's almost 4 months. (Well, daddy is a bit more than 4 months old. Lol) We tried on a hotdog costume while at Wal-Mart.
