And after they told me they saw it without volume I was like, “But there are scenes where the characters and aliens DO talk and make noises and the noises are plot relevant,” to which they replied, “Yeah it got confusing at times, but overall it was still a pretty good movie.”
So that’s an idiots review of John Kraniski’s A Quiet Place
My favorite thing about the quiet place sequel coming out is being reminded that I know someone who watched the entire first movie without realizing the volume on their phone wasn’t on and still liked the movie
don’t mind me being horny over Jim Halpert and how he would stuff you with a vibrator before work and has the remote in his pocket and adjusts the settings just when you think you’re safe. how he watches you squirm in your seat but try and pass it off so no one knows what’s really going on.
how he looks like a predator about to pounce on his prey with the triumphant smirk on his face as he watches you try and contain your moans. he plays with the controls while he’s getting coffee, enjoying the bitter drink while he watches you try to focus on the words in front of you and shakily apologize to Dwight when he scolds you on not getting work done.
how, at the end of the day, he pulls you aside to a private office where you won’t be bothered and teases you more with the toy that was buzzing away in your tight little cunt the whole day before he fucks you relentlessly on the table and kisses you breathless so that the others don’t hear your begging moans.

(Comfort Characters part 3.) Pam Beesly 💗. The Office is probably my favourite show and I love many characters on it but Pam is the most comforting and also most relatable. She's the sweet and shy artsy mom-friend and no Pam hate will be tolerated on this page 😭
One of the many fandoms I’m in is The Office fandom. This show was a big comfort for me in my tween years and even more so now that I’ve started watching it again at 18. My mom and dad love it too so it’s kind of like a family bonding thing as well. Anyway, I drew all the main characters plus Holly because I absolutely adore Holly!
I’m currently writing an episode of The Office! I’m writing Michael and Holly’s wedding as it’s an episode I’ve always wanted! It’s my first real piece of fan fiction so let me know if y’all want to see it! 🖤
More Gravity Falls and Once-ler sketches coming at some point! Sending love 🫶🖤
If I had a gun with two bullets, and I was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, and Akechi, I would shoot Akechi twice.
Ryuji (probably)
I like to think that Michael invites Erin to holidays and they pretend she's his daughter that moved away and hardly visits
honestly for me this situation isnt drawing a single bead of sweat first i grab the tiger's jaw with both hands and pry it open, quickly bandaging the wounds i received (didn't hit anything important) and pushing the tiger away while simultaneously falling into my grizzly bear stance and watching as the tiger scurries away with its tail betweens its legs at the sight of my massive shoulder humps. i roar defiantly and catch three dozen salmon at the river
I've been sorta dating this guys for how weeks and recently (today) we began to talk about tv and he said he's watched Sherlock my favorite show...
This… Netflix needs to see this.
I think one of the most overlooked factors in Netflix's cutthroat approach to deciding wether to renew a show is that they wholly underestimate the power of fandoms.
They seem to think that unless a show is record-breaking or award-winning it will not be profitable to renew but they fail to recognize that most people don't give a shit about the accolades as long as a show is good.
And even then, it is normal to take more than one eight-episode season to pick up real cultural traction. Plenty of now-beloved shows did not reach mainstream popularity until they were multiple seasons deep.
Netflix fails to consider the longevity of their IPs over the initial peak of interest, and have thus cultivated a self-fulfilling prophecy as people avoid starting new shows because they don't want to become invested in something that is more likely than not to be cancelled, and thus these new shows don't reach the ludicrous viewership standard they have set to justify a renewal.
Sure, they get new subscribers for new shows but what keeps them there? Maybe they'd actually stay subscribed if a new season of something they are invested in is on the way (barring the cost itself, which is a whole different can of worms).
Plenty of people subscribe only for one or two shows- I remember people cancelling their subscriptions when they took The Office off because that show alone was keeping them on the platform.
Supernatural did not get 15 seasons because of its exceptional writing or cinematography (ha), they got 15 seasons because of devoted fans who wanted more. Who kept rewatching and buying merchandise and paying for con tickets.
Daredevil is one of the best shows I have ever seen, and that was at the time where the "early" cancellation was common after three seasons (with 12+ episodes). Inside Job is one of the only adult animated series that I have ever thoroughly enjoyed, and it was lucky to have two seasons. Shadow and Bone had the potential to be a franchise based in the extended Grishaverse, and yet it also ended after two seasons.
Finally- not everyone watches shows the day they release! We don't all have that sort of time, and it's ok to discover a new show a week, a month, a year after it releases! Word of mouth and fan culture/communities have been the rock upon which lasing series are created, from Star Trek to Game of Thrones.
All this to say, @netflix yall get your act together and renew Dead Boy Detectives before you lose your captive audience 🫠
If INTP was in The Office:
INTP: My job as a sales person made me realise how much I hate people
(Looks sideways from camera at the cameraman)
INTP: I hate when people are prying into my life.....cuz guess what? I have nothing interesting in it....except Pam, Pam is awesome.
(Gets questioned if he likes Pam)
INTP: No, not really. I like her a lot, which is surprising since I don't like many people here *mouths Angela*
INTP: now Pam and I are good friends, I do believe she hates her fiance tho...but what can I do about it?
(Gets questioned about his work)
INTP: I come late everyday, Dwight is always mad at me being late, I don't care much. I check in my computer and play Pac man while talking to stupid clients like an idiot selling paper which won't be useful in a future paperless world.
INTP: then I take a 2 hour break and pretend to be friends with Micheal to justify my 2 hour break.
INTP: I have lunch in my car so I won't have to see Kevin eating 4 tuna sandwiches in one go.
INTP: I spend time with Toby, he is like the only normal person here. We sit down and mumble about our misery.
INTP: I hate Andy, he is so annoying, I have to hide in the bathroom to avoid his constant brags about Cornell. I mean I went to Yale, and now I am a paper salesman *shrugs* this is always how it ends.
(Gets questioned about Jim and Pam)
(Looks at the camera)
INTP: everyone knows they are in love. It's not even a question at this point.

can we talk for a minute about how 'Dream Team' in the 5th season of The Office US is like the best ?
there's the whole Michael-downfall moment that we've seen over and over through the series, and as usual he dreams too big, no one believes in him and they all leave him all by himself with his crazy project
but then there's Pam, who we've seen getting bored from a job that uses none of her real potential, standing for Michael and leaving everything behind to start a project born like 6 hours beforehand
if we don't take into account that pretty much every employee is at the opposite of Michael, Pam's personality is one of the most far away from his: even though she also likes pranks and tends to be bold and had some good moments with him, she had to learn to know her value and not under or overestimate it, she gets things done, she is organized, she is respectful and considerate, she seems to have a stable life and stable relationships. Furthermore, her relationship with Michael is unbalanced, she's constantly sexualized and suffers his misogynistic jokes, he has never really been considerate towards her, even when she obviously was the best among the other employees during 'Beach Games' (S3) for a higher ranked position
however, she is the one and only to follow him, she took care of Michael, she pushed him into making small steps when he was depressed, she provided him support and understanding, validating every task he overcame, and i couldn't help but to relate to that kind of doing ; this was the growing-hope part
the most beautiful part being when this seed of hope didn't work out and the business didn't seem to lead anywhere, and when Pam finally realized and expressed how much she lost because of her impulsive decision, because the boredom of her job just felt too much at that precise moment, AND THAT'S when Michael hits with one of his biggest strength: when people don't believe in him is when he does his best work (his words), he thrives on it (also his words). And suddenly he's his boss, his mentor, his friend, he gets to support her and inspire her once again, not because he is about to lose her or that he's afraid to be alone, but for her, so that she can feel good about her choice, so that she doesn't hit rock bottom, he validates their situation and pushes her to stick to their plan.
it took someone he cares about to be sad and desperate for Michael to take his job more seriously than we ever saw him do. They are not doing great but they're trying to give their best shot
also i'd like to highlight how similar to the art show moment in 'Business School' (S3) this scene is, when Michael is the only one to truly enjoy Pam's work, when she obviously didn't believe it would come from him. The reaction of Michael is so pure and free from his usual shallow and callous behavior, it's just how he feels with no insult or bad joke, something Pam needed in the moment
just so you know i didn't finish the series so it might not be the best best episode but i really wanted to right that down
Jim: I'm really, really sorry.
Jim: I think I was just relieved to see that Michael Scarn got his confidence back.
Kelly: Yeah, Michael, that movie is amazing.
Kevin: It's like, one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life.
is there any characters u based the 4 mcs off (ren, ichi, ni, and san)
yesyes! theres a lot so let me list them 😭
starting off strong w ren…
the first inspiration behind ren (despite being a competent character in the novelization, he did have a lot of gaps that needed to be filled in) isn’t the real mark zuckerberg— rather jesse eisenberg’s portrayal in ‘the social networking,’ both are condescending geniuses who are socially distant (though in rens case its by choice, in marks choice its not)
additionally, just as mark screwed over eduardo in the movie (and presumably real life) ren was planning on screwing over walter simmons the moment he was no longer useful.
the most important similarity is both thrive on being the smartest person in the room AND being painfully aware of it, silently resenting those who they deem as less intelligent.
that’s where rens similarities with mark end, as he’s not a hideous bigot, mechagodzilla was ren’s idea whereas mark is portrayed as a thief who steals concepts, rens motivations are deeply personal while marks are for people to like him, and lastly, marks social climb is about status, rens is about control and a vendetta.
the second inspiration behind ren is chris manawa from fear the walking dead, both had morally up-right, no-nonsense fathers who tried to do the right thing even if their sons had a different vision of what was right. (ishiro and travis, respectively.)
they both became disillusioned and villainous, drifting away from their father’s ethics by choice.. additionally, they had a similar radicalization— each dealt with the death of their mother in isolation with little to no support.
however, the descent of chris is a common trope in twdu— survival, desensitization, and seeing the new world as a ruleless land where they can do whatever they want, ren’s descent is driven by vengeance, ambition, childhood frustrations, and a god complex.
ren is also more calculated and wouldn’t be foolish enough to meet the fate chris did.
as some of you may know, one of the main inspirations behind ghidorahs voice was smile 2, and a lot of the events in the early chapters of ghidorahs voice mirror smile 2.
for example, both ren and skye suffer hallucinations after a traumatic event— skye after the drug-induced crash, ren after the mechagodzilla electrocution.
the mirror scene where skye hallucinating louis (luis?) in the mirror is a direct parallel to ren hallucinating ishiro in chapter 3.
ghidorah parallels the smile entity, they’re both persistent, supernatural forces that feed on trauma and slowly erodes the mind. however, in ghidorahs case, he doesn’t kill ren, he molds ren into controller x by cutting off all of rens options.
both ren and skye try to navigate public scrutiny while desperately trying to rationalize what they’re seeing— skye as a pop star, ren as an infamous nepo-baby who destroyed an entire city.
ren waking up from a coma and facing legal/ethical battles echoes skye’s return from tragedy.
like skye dismissing morris’ warnings, ren dismisses bernies warnings because he finds bernie annoying and has a deep ‘theres a scientific explantation to EVERYTHING’ value instilled in him.
on a more comedic note, the next one is ryan howard. walter simmons is rens michael scott— a buffoonish, self-important boss ren both tolerates and despises depending on what walter could contribute in rens conquest to kill godzilla.
like ryan, ren is the ‘golden boy’ who is expected to rise fast but they both harbor bitterness and ambition, not caring who they have to step on to reach their goals.
however, ryan’s downfall is due to incompetence and ego— he’s lazy and self-sabotaging, ren is anything but lazy, rens downfall is more about flying too close to the sun, emotional instability and three headed alien forces.
in short, ryan is played for comedy, ren is steeped in tragic horror.
back to the tragic note, one of rens biggest inspirations was junior wheeler from chucky. (anyone who knew me in 2021 knew i was DEVASTATED when he kicked the bucket and was in straight denial for months) junior is manipulated by chucky, ren by ghidorah— though not to the same extent, as ren is intelligent enough to see ghidorah is using him, but an enemy of his enemy is his friend.. however, this doesn’t change how both are essentially possessed by malevolent forces praying on vulnerability.
both characters lashing out and transformations into killers are tied to emotional repression and manipulation.
additionally, from the dialogue to the context, ghidorah finally convincing ren his own humanity is whats holding him back is directly inspired by this scene
back to differences, juniors arc is short-lived and tragic, rens is longer and more strategic, involving tech, politics, and global stakes.
junior died as a teenager and didn’t fully understand what he was doing, while rens frontal lobe is fully developed, and not only does ren embrace what hes doing, he even tries to justify it.
lastly for ren is the salesman from squid game, both are lapdogs to greater powers (the salesman to the frontman, ren to ghidorah.)
they both project confidence and control but are ultimately servants trying to feel special in a system they dont control.
both (at least after ren adopts the persona of x) have a certain aesthetic flair, masking their true insignificance.
as for ichi, his biggest inspiration is..
princess blister from wings of fire! both are the most cunning and manipulative of their respective trios, they act as the ‘brains’ of the operation— always plotting several steps ahead, enjoying mind games and psychological warfare.
ichi and blister have a similar way of disguising their ruthlessness with eloquence, additionally, they both also don’t give the facade much effort— snapping the moment they get called out.
both were turned into dust 💀
both are narcissistic, believing they are the rightful rulers and vastly superior to those around them.
naturally, since ichi is inspired by blister..
ni is inspired by princess burn! ni, like burn, enjoys cruelty for his own sake— not mindless brutality, but calculated, indulgent violence.
both ni and burn are often underestimated as ‘the muscle’ and nothing else, but they show tactical awareness when it benefits them. just like burn using queen scarlet as a shield from glorys venom, ni is the kind of guy who would sacrifice anyone to gain an edge or survive.
the next for ni is nam-gyu from squid game (nam-gyu referring to other players as cockroaches was my direct inspo for ghidorah referring to humans as cockroaches), both are right hand figures— ni to ichi, nam-gyu to thanos, both act loyal but are really in it for their own gain and survival.
they both have a duality of superiority and inferiority complexes— they feel like they’re the most dangerous out of their respective groups, yet simmer with resentment at being second to someone else.
just like how nam-gyu only truly respects thanos, ni only respects ichi— but even then, that respect is overshadowed by envy and loathing.
both revel in mocking those weaker than them, even more so if they sense emotional vulnerability.
for san, as i stated in chapter 20, his main inspiration is..
agatha harkness! san, like agatha, enjoys manipulating the emotions of others (ren and wanda respectively) under the guise of charisma or humor.
both are showboats, loving dramatic reveals, flashy speeches, and being the most memorable individual in the room— even if that means coming off as a nuisance and being hated.
Inky Mystery but as The Office characters. I need to talk to someone about this PLEASE. I have a Cast A and a Cast B since I can’t really choose who would fit which role better.
THIS WOULD BE SOOOOOO GOOD!
“The umbrella academy” but it has the side interview scenes like “The Office”
I completely forgot this line existed and it's perfect. And a certain few people should probably jot this down:
Hmmmm, now knowing my posts, what or who could I be referring to? 🤔
If you're still not sure, some of the tags might help.
Pam is wise, two people hanging out aren't automatically together. That also applies to two people getting a drink.
I'm on a binge streak of The Office.
Draw Izzy Hands :3
✨💅sChMoL💅✨
Before you say anything like “ohhh stede should have been Ed or Lucius” yes that occurred to me, but Stede is the king of passive aggression plus I really wanted to draw him in his cursed red suit 🫶
Day 11: The Office Halloween
I love this show so, so much. Reaching the end, sadly..
Jaskier: *sitting in front of a camera* I tried to talk to Geralt and be his friend, but that is like trying to be friends with an evil snail
I have a feeling the new girl in the office likes me. I wonder how much?
I told daddy about the icky feelings in my princess parts and he finally taught me how to get rid of them 🤭
