High School Art Project #2 "Paradigm Shift"
I want more people to be aware of disabled joy. The freedom of getting the right mobility aid. The sense of victory and accomplishment when doing a task you thought you would never succeed at. The smug superiority of zooming ahead of your walking friends on a downhill slope. The relief of a proper diagnosis answering your questions. The peace of learning how to radically accept yourself and your body. It ain’t all bad, folks.
glory or wisdom? love or power? violin or piano? fire or water? air or earth? forest or river? black or white? left or right? heads or tails? theatre or cinema? give or take? dawn or dusk? gold or silver? art or music? morning or night? venus or mercury?
'Sometimes the scariest answers are the scarier questions.'

I am reminded day in and day out that just because someone's older than you, doesn't mean they're wiser than you.
My mind has been blowwnnn
So earlier in art class today, someone drew a characters hands in their pockets and mentioned that hands are really like the ultimate end boss of art, and most of us wholeheartedly agreed. So then, our teacher went ahead and free handed like a handful of hands on the board, earning a woah from a couple of students. So the one from earlier mentioned how it barely took the teacher ten seconds to do what I can’t do in three hours. And you know what he responded?
“It didn’t take me ten seconds, it took me forty years.”
And you know, that stuck with me somehow. Because yeah. Drawing a hand didn’t take him fourth years. But learning and practicing to draw a hand in ten seconds did. And I think there’s something to learn there but it’s so warm and my brain is fried so I can’t formulate the actual morale of the lesson.
Being logical and kind is both painful and refreshing—it stabs the heart when you deal with some kind of people but frees the soul. Life feels lighter when you choose wisdom over conflict. I love life. 💆🏻♀️
great wall of china. june 2016. there’s wisdom even in the cautionary signs.

this song doesn't seem deep but when i hear it i think about how happier i have become since i have realized the infinite power of love and i see people i love deeply and become sad because i wish they could see the same beauty i am seeing. i try to explain it but i know i can't force them to see it. it hurts to see them hurt when infinite love and beauty is within reach...
I mean seriously?!
*tastes potion like a chef testing the soup* hm. needs more eye of newt.
