As Canadian animator Jean-Francois Painchaud aka SuperPhazed posted his thrumming-rainbow-sex animations on social media, they would (unsurprisingly) survive for a bit then get taken down. Then, Facebook banned several illustrations at once and the move gained him thousands of followers via his tumblr. In an interview with VICE Colombia he said, “Whenever they take down my art or censor me, I make a big deal out of it, hoping that we might be able to change this culture of incessant censoring over time.”
Also unsurprisingly, he lists psychedelics as an influence, saying, “I feel that both psychedelics and sex can help you transcend your ego and tap into a purer state of being – of living in the moment.” Taking mushrooms affected his art but also helped him work through depression and anxiety.

I HAD MANY ALIEN ABDUCTION EXPERIENCES AS A CHILD. I WOULD WAKE UP, FROZEN WITH FEAR, UNABLE TO TALK OR MOVE BUT STRICKEN WITH AN ANIMALISTIC PANIC. THERE WOULD BE THINGS WATCHING ME FROM JUST OUTSIDE OF MY VISION, PROJECTING INTO MY MIND. WHEN THEY HAD GOTTEN ME THAT FAR, THEY WOULD BEGIN TO LEVITATE ME OUT OF THE HOUSE. LATER - I SAW A TRIANGULAR UFO BY THE BAY BRIDGE, IT WAS ENORMOUS & JUST FLOATING THERE. LATER - I SAW A SERIES OF FLASHING LIGHTS OVER THE SAN FRANCISCO HILLS HIGH IN THE CLOUDS THAT LASTED FOR OVER AN HOUR. THEY WERE COMMUNICATING. UFOS ARE REAL.
Sooo fucking done with this bullshit......

My name is and I carve small pencil sculptures for a hobby. I am from Birmingham, UK and have been a jeweler for 11 years. In November last year I was sitting in my workshop and picked a pencil and thought I’d carve a little heart into the tip, little did I know this would start me off on one of the most engrossing hobbies I have ever had.
I love art but I have never been able to draw so this is a good way for me to create things with the limitations of my skill. The main tool I use is the scalpel blade shown in the pictures as well as a few pins which I have altered the end of to give me different blades. source: boredpanda

After the amazing Removed series, deleting all the smartphones from the pictures, here is the SUR-FAKE project created by French photographer Antoine Geiger. With his strange and disturbing photographs, depicting the faces of people literally sucked by their smartphones, the photographer seeks to represent the gap between connected life and reality, but especially our growing addiction to screens…

Who said math can’t be interesting? Fractals like these can seem too perfect to be true, but they occur in nature and plants all the time and are examples of math, physics, and natural selection at work!
When we see order in the world, we think it must be some human hand that made it so. But Galileo Galilei in his Il Saggiatore wrote, “[The universe] is written in the language of mathematics, and its characters are triangles, circles, and other geometric figures.” There is order in nature, and artists who want to reproduce it faithfully spend hours studying nature’s forms.
Civilization has struggled to understand this perfect geometry for thousands of years. In the 4th century, Plato believed that symmetry in nature was proof of universal forms; in 1952, the famous code-breaker Alan Turing wrote a book trying to explain how such patterns in nature could be formed.

What does human flesh taste like? - Of course the age, the body part being eaten, and the cooking method shall affect the taste of the meat. Armin Meiwes, the German cannibal who killed and ate a willing man that he discovered online, reported that human flesh tastes like pork “but a little bit more bitter, stronger. It tastes quite good.” Issei Sagawa, a Japanese cannibal who killed and ate a female classmate that he had a crush on, described human flesh as “odorless” and not “gamey.” Arthur Shawcross, a serial killer who targeted prostitutes in Rochester, New York, claims that cooked human flesh tastes like a “nice roast pork.” Omaima Nelson, an Egyptian model who bludgeoned her husband to death before skinning, castrating, and eating his ribs, described eating them as “so sweet, it’s so delicious… I like mine tender.”
