Can you outrun this?

Idea to @/coquettecomics on c.ai this is INSANELY ooc because it's my drself x Rex, I don't know how long i'll work on it but i'll keep updating... Probably. I also don't know how to tag a fanfic. or how to cut it.

Rex part posted soon.

I stood in an alleyway, it was dark and cold out- Rex Splode stood in front of me with a hurt look on his face, the rain pelting against the ground only setting the ambience even more. My eyes darted past him to the open road, where I so desperately wanted to go. Get out of this awkward situation. Get out of here.

“You really think I wouldn't have come after you?” Rex finally broke the silence, his hands balling into fists at his sides. Of course he was the first to notice, I didn’t know how to tell him I was leaving, I needed to leave. Everything was too much. Omni-Man, Cecil, all these villains, never having a moment of peace? I was happier alone floating through space while having a mental breakdown.

“You think running away from this will change anything? Change us? It won’t.” Rex started, biting his lip as he let out a sigh. “Viviane… I need you. The guardians need you-” Rex looked down and shook his head. “You can’t outrun this life, the people need you. The threats and villains are only getting more dangerous,” Rex looked back up, locking eyes with mine in one of the most awkward staring competitions I've ever had. “... Say you don’t love me, say you’re done with this life and I'll let you go, I won't even chase after you.”

“... I’m done with this life.” I managed to get the words out, my hands clenched so tight I felt my nails digging into my palms.  I couldn’t continue looking at him, and I couldn't say I didn't love him. I’d be lying to both of us.

Rex felt as if he’d been shot, an aching pain in his chest he hated so much. He felt as if all the wind had been punched out of his lungs, tears watering in his eyes as a small show of vulnerability, he looked away so I couldn't see the tears threatening to fall, but I still could. He took a step to the side, his expression hardening as his eyes searched my face for any hints of doubt, and when he saw none- “Then go.” Rex gestured towards the road. “Go.” his voice came out a ragged and pained whisper.

I felt myself float above the ground, my feet hovering just above it, a nervous habit. A habit I usually did when I was upset or angry, trying to detach myself from reality, from humanity. “... Rex-” I tried to speak, but he cut me off. “No.” He spoke firmly, his body tense and rigid. “You said you’re done, so go.”

He’s trying to be strong, but it was tearing through him. His eyes stinging as he held back the tears. I stared at him for a moment longer, my bottom lip trembling as I hung my head low once more. “... I’m sorry.” My voice broke, my hands trembling as I floated past him out towards the road.

Rex watched me go, my sob ripping through his heart, making the ache more painful. He wanted to chase after me, but his feet stayed planted as he watched my figure slowly vanish from sight, the dam finally broke and his tears began falling, blending in with the rain as it streamed down his face.

Viviane.

I soared through space for a little bit, the tears streaming down my face freezing and breaking off as I flew, the atmosphere didn’t affect me though. Perks of being a cosmic demigod I guess.

Finally I landed down on Thagrea, a planet like Earth- Just made specifically for demigods and their children. Two people lived on this planet I actually knew, the only two people on this planet I trust.

I’d knock on a door and wait for either Mason or Xander to answer, they were my cousins, on my divine side at least. Their father, Ither, god of dreams and nightmares, was the brother to my mother, Dancia. It’s all sort of complicated.

After a moment, the door swung open, a tall and dark skinned man held a sword out at me with a stern look, but it faltered when his eyes laid on me. “... Viviane? What- What are you doing here?” He slowly lowered his sword, his eyes scanning past me and around the neighborhood as if he was expecting someone else to be with me.

“Xander I… I-I messed up, really bad.” My voice trembled, as much as I wanted to suppress my tears and broken voice I couldn't. Xander’s features softened as he set his sword off to the side and ushered me in. “Come in, come in. It’s alright. Tell me what happened.”

I sat on the couch and covered my face with my hands, letting out a sob. “I can’t do it. I can’t help Earth anymore, the one thing my mother made me do, and I can't. I ruined- I ruined the o-one good human relationship too, i think. I… I love him… And I just… Ran away. But I can't go back, and he won’t give up. He never knows when to quit!” I cried. Xander sat beside me, rubbing my back gently just as his twin, Mason stepped inside.

“It’s okay…” Xander murmured, flashing a nervous glance to Mason. “This… Guy you ran away from, does he know you love him?” Xander asked hesitantly, I leaned into his hand and shrugged. “I-I don’t know…”

“Does… Does he know what you are?” Mason finally spoke up, his arms crossing over his chest. “... No. I never told anyone, the only one who knows is my father, and Cecil to an extent.” I sighed and wiped away my tears.

“...Bitch what DOES he know?!”

“Mason!” Xander looked at Mason with a bewildered expression. “What!? This guy has a right to know he’s dating a demigod, okay!” Mason threw his hands up in the air, in dramatic fashion as usual. “I wouldn’t want to date one of us, not knowing what we are or what we’re capable of!”

“Yeah well that’s not helping her current mood, asshole-” I cut Xander up, waving my hand in the air. “No… He’s right. I haven’t been truthful at all about what I am, about my origins… It’s too late now though, he probably doesn’t want to see me ever again.”

End times teaching, Christian prophecies. Faith based encouragement and the love of Jesus Christ! 🥰

Because everybody is suddenly fixing their mouths to try (try, because they won't succeed) to defame one of the Lord's prophets.

I'm just sharing her YouTube so others can hear and prepare, because you have to know by now we're in the last days.

Instead of bad mouthing Celestial online, go to God in prayer for proof of her being the real deal. PLEASE don't live to regret calling her all kinds of names online.

Daily Doodles- Day 99- 23/07/24

I've been wanting to share this channel for a long while and I've finally gotten the courage to 😮‍💨🙏

The Master's Voice Prophecy Blog

I was watching one of her videos and what she said inspired this doodle. Prophets are alive and (sort of) well in the 21st century.

A reminder of this ends up on the wrong side of Tumblr: I don't 'debate' or argue on the internet! If you try me, you will be arguing with the wall, because I won't be here for you to 'debate' with.

God bless you, because we all really need some blessings in these times.

The tag for this is #agdoodles

Have You Ever Seen An Eclipse From Space? Check It Out

On June 21, 2020 an annular solar eclipse passed over parts of Asia and Africa. Eclipses happen when the Moon lines up just right between the Sun and Earth, allowing it to block out part or all of the Sun’s bright face and cast a shadow on Earth.

Have You Ever Seen An Eclipse From Space? Check It Out

On that day, the International Space Station was orbiting over Kazakhstan and into China when this picture of the solar eclipse shadowing a portion of the Asian continent was captured by an external high definition camera. In the left foreground, is the H-II Transfer Vehicle-9 from Japan.

Here is another angle as seen from the orbital lab. In the left foreground, is the Progress 74 resupply ship from Russia.

Ten Observations From Our Flying Telescope

image

SOFIA is a Boeing 747SP aircraft with a 100-inch telescope used to study the solar system and beyond by observing infrared light that can’t reach Earth’s surface.

image

What is infrared light? It’s light we cannot see with our eyes that is just beyond the red portion of visible light we see in a rainbow. It can be used to change your TV channels, which is how remote controls work, and it can tell us how hot things are.

image

Everything emits infrared radiation, even really cold objects like ice and newly forming stars! We use infrared light to study the life cycle of stars, the area around black holes, and to analyze the chemical fingerprints of complex molecules in space and in the atmospheres of other planets – including Pluto and Mars.

image

Above, is the highest-resolution image of the ring of dust and clouds around the back hole at the center of our Milky Way Galaxy. The bright Y-shaped feature is believed to be material falling from the ring into the black hole – which is located where the arms of the Y intersect.

image

The magnetic field in the galaxy M82 (pictured above) aligns with the dramatic flow of material driven by a burst of star formation. This is helping us learn how star formation shapes magnetic fields of an entire galaxy.

image

A nearby planetary system around the star Epsilon Eridani, the location of the fictional Babylon 5 space station, is similar to our own: it’s the closest known planetary system around a star like our sun and it also has an asteroid belt adjacent to the orbit of its largest, Jupiter-sized planet.

image

Observations of a supernova that exploded 10,000 years ago, that revealed it contains enough dust to make 7,000 Earth-sized planets!

image

Measurements of Pluto’s upper atmosphere, made just two weeks before our New Horizons spacecraft’s Pluto flyby. Combining these observations with those from the spacecraft are helping us understand the dwarf planet’s atmosphere.

image

A gluttonous star that has eaten the equivalent of 18 Jupiters in the last 80 years, which may change the theory of how stars and planets form.

image

Molecules like those in your burnt breakfast toast may offer clues to the building blocks of life. Scientists hypothesize that the growth of complex organic molecules like these is one of the steps leading to the emergence of life.

image

This map of carbon molecules in Orion’s Horsehead nebula (overlaid on an image of the nebula from the Palomar Sky Survey) is helping us understand how the earliest generations of stars formed. Our instruments on SOFIA use 14 detectors simultaneously, letting us make this map faster than ever before!

image

Pinpointing the location of water vapor in a newly forming star with groundbreaking precision. This is expanding our understanding of the distribution of water in the universe and its eventual incorporation into planets. The water vapor data from SOFIA is shown above laid over an image from the Gemini Observatory.

image

We captured the chemical fingerprints that revealed celestial clouds collapsing to form young stars like our sun. It’s very rare to directly observe this collapse in motion because it happens so quickly. One of the places where the collapse was observed is shown in this image from The Two Micron All Sky Survey.

We Need Your Help to Find STEVE

Glowing in mostly purple and green colors, a newly discovered celestial phenomenon is sparking the interest of scientists, photographers and astronauts. The display was initially discovered by a group of citizen scientists who took pictures of the unusual lights and playfully named them "Steve."

When scientists got involved and learned more about these purples and greens, they wanted to keep the name as an homage to its initial name and citizen science discoverers. Now it is STEVE, short for Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement.

image

STEVE occurs closer to the equator than where most aurora appear – for example, Southern Canada – in areas known as the sub-auroral zone. Because auroral activity in this zone is not well researched, studying STEVE will help scientists learn about the chemical and physical processes going on there. This helps us paint a better picture of how Earth's magnetic fields function and interact with charged particles in space. Ultimately, scientists can use this information to better understand the space weather near Earth, which can interfere with satellites and communications signals.

image

Want to become a citizen scientist and help us learn more about STEVE? You can submit your photos to a citizen science project called Aurorasaurus, funded by NASA and the National Science Foundation. Aurorasaurus tracks appearances of auroras – and now STEVE – around the world through reports and photographs submitted via a mobile app and on aurorasaurus.org.

Here are six tips from what we have learned so far to help you spot STEVE:

1. STEVE is a very narrow arc, aligned East-West, and extends for hundreds or thousands of miles.

image

Credit: ©Megan Hoffman

2. STEVE mostly emits light in purple hues. Sometimes the phenomenon is accompanied by a short-lived, rapidly evolving green picket fence structure (example below).

image

3. STEVE can last 20 minutes to an hour.

4. STEVE appears closer to the equator than where normal – often green – auroras appear. It appears approximately 5-10° further south in the Northern hemisphere. This means it could appear overhead at latitudes similar to Calgary, Canada. The phenomenon has been reported from the United Kingdom, Canada, Alaska, northern US states, and New Zealand.

image

5. STEVE has only been spotted so far in the presence of an aurora (but auroras often occur without STEVE). Scientists are investigating to learn more about how the two phenomena are connected.

6. STEVE may only appear in certain seasons. It was not observed from October 2016 to February 2017. It also was not seen from October 2017 to February 2018.

STEVE (and aurora) sightings can be reported at www.aurorasaurus.org or with the Aurorasaurus free mobile apps on Android and iOS. Anyone can sign up, receive alerts, and submit reports for free.

Jupiter’s Vibrant Bands Of Light Belts And Dark Regions Appear Primed For Their Close-up During Our

Jupiter’s vibrant bands of light belts and dark regions appear primed for their close-up during our Juno spacecraft’s 10th flyby on Feb. 7. This flyby was a gravity science positioned pass. During orbits that highlight gravity experiments, Juno is positioned toward Earth in a way that allows both transmitters to downlink data in real-time to one of the antennas of our Deep Space Network. All of Juno’s science instruments and the spacecraft’s JunoCam were in operation during the flyby, collecting data that is now being returned to Earth. The science behind this beautifully choreographed image will help us understand the origin and structure of the planet beneath those lush, swirling clouds.
