Introvert problem

I felt feverish in the middle of the day, still I went about doing what needs to be done. Work has been so busy lately and adding to it the pressures of applying for another job. Just came from a 16 hour duty and still I need to wake up early. I feel so tired and I think I'm going to be sick. Then it struck me. I didn't realize that I've been around too many people lately and just didn't have my alone time.

I have been told a few times (well, so many times really) that I have a kind of "blunt affect" face. It's just my face gdmit! Why do people think it's a problem?

When you go to an interview and your brain is like figuring out every answer to every question and you think you’re so confident you’re gonna get that job then the manager asks you a question but you’re like “uhm, uhm, I uhh”.!! Like why can’t I just deal with other people. Seriously!!?

What I want in life just in case reality makes me forget

I just want to earn enough money to let me live in a secluded area, with my books,my laptop, phone and internet. Also, I need a cat because somehow I have feelings.

Run With The Stars

Run with the Stars

I’m a writer, a published author. This reality humbles me. But lately I feel like I’m running a million miles an hour and making as much progress as someone trying to cross a finish line on a treadmill.

Getting this third manuscript pulled together has taken much longer than I ever anticipated. And that’s just to get it ready for submission (for consideration). Most of the reasons for this slow down are varied and valid. Shifting gears from creative nonfiction to fiction is an adjustment; one I underestimated. Life also happens and sometimes won’t take a backseat to anything. But there are other aspects I can control, instead of letting them run the schedule.

One thing my Aspergirl pointed out to me in the middle of all this was how this MS read more like naked retelling of events rather than allowing the reader a true glimpse into a new world. Her advice woke me up. It made me realize as much as I love writing, I had become stale. It explained why the last handful of articles I wrote feels flat. I’m grateful for her and her insight. I know what I needed to fix this; I needed to reacquaint myself with nature.

Can you relate?

Sometimes writing means we spend too much time ignoring our senses. We become dull and lack sheen. Our minds become hungry for stimulation a keyboard and laptop screen will never be able to provide. We need to step away and step outside, or at least peer out the window. We need to feel the breeze tousle our hair, to watch the leaves swirl about when a storm is heading our way. To sense the electricity in the air before the sky opens and drenches the dry grass. To hear the rapping of the rains against our windows, hoping we remembered to close everything up tight. To feel ourselves tense up when thunder makes our home feel like it will expand and contract with each burst.

In other words, our bodies as well as our minds need to know we are, indeed, alive. This life will be reflected in our writing, as well as any deadness that lingers inside.

When you look at this graphic, what is your first thought? Do you agree with
Yes, I See In Color. Several Years Back I Learned Not Everyone Can, And There Are Those Who Don’t Really

Yes, I see in color. Several years back I learned not everyone can, and there are those who don’t really see any images in their minds. We all think and recall things differently. I think that’s pretty cool.

Some attach other senses to memory, such as associating words with flavor. In other words, if you are a fellow synesthete your senses are wired differently.

Synesthesia. I like to think of it as a super power.

This is one of the days when I can't sleep in peace because there's a lot of things in my mind that I can't help but have a conversation with myself.

I know am hurt. I want to be petty and complain.

But I'm also trying to forgive by giving myself reason on why I should.

Things about you that contrast every stereotype of your MBTI type

(and in general are extremely unlike your type)

Vs

Most stereotypical traits of your's

I'll start:

ESTP (7w6)

Unstereotypical:

I wrote fanfiction, had a phase in which i doodled everyday. Have had one relationship so far, don't drink alcohol and the last time i was at a party was more than a year ago. I also hate team sports with a passion. I love learning new languages and am a total TV show nerd.I also binge watch. Also I have never been in a physical fight. Lmao . Btw i also love to have philosophical conversations with special people and am generally attuned with analyzing my dreams and the meaning behind them. I usually take a lot of time to make friends (real friends).

VS

Stereotypical:

I love the gym , calisthenics etc. I love cars and traveling, and exploring new places with a passion. I generally prefer being outdoors to indoors. I like camping and sometimes am a adrenaline junkie.

Overheard, in the middle of a boardgame

INTJ: You're all over the place, man. What do you want?

ENTP: What do I want? In life? Right now? Or for breakfast tomorrow? Perhaps your confusion is a direct result of a lack of specificity in the present situation.

*INTJ launches nearest object at ENTP's head*

So obv INFJ hearts ENTP, which is great but I was wondering - do you have any other mbti ships you like? Don’t hold back I can take it (the real question is… can THEY?) lmao

Aaaah, good question!

I probably have a disappointing answer *_*

I guess I don’t really ship other MBTI types because I don’t have any personal experience with them or know anyone else who does.

I particularly love MBTI stuff when I can match it up with an actual person or experience. (Eg, I’m an INFJ and my partner is an ENTP. Most of what I read about INFJ x ENTP is crazy funny/accurate, at least in describing my relationship with ENTP. Particularly the theme that ENTP is the only type that can climb INFJ's walls or bounce back from a door slam. I literally "door slammed" ENTP ten years ago and seven years later he just showed up out of nowhere like “Aaayyy....btw, I love you” and we've been together ever since, lol.)

...but I DO have an INTJ friend who I’m pretty sure would be stupidly happy with an ENFP friend of mine (if INTJ ever wanted to stop brooding in solitude, which seems…unlikely) so I guess that might be the other one!

I definitely do NOT ship INFJ x INTJ (it's not a popular one but I've seen it occasionally). I fully admit this is entirely based off a horrible relationship I had with a (different) INTJ in the past. I just don't think INFJ auxiliary Fe works well with INTJ tertiary Fi. But that's another story for another day. (Not saying it's impossible. Just expressing my personal experience was a dumpster fire of epic proportions, lol.)

Actual conversation*

(*aka, when a group of millennials rent a cabin in the woods)

INTJ: We're going make a fire in the wood stove.

*INFJ watches over INTJ's shoulder as ENTP heads into the kitchen*

INFJ: …Okay.

INTJ: The fire starters are in the storage room, right?

*ENTP re-emerges from kitchen with a paper towel, the corner of which is lit in an orange flame*

INFJ: ...Yeah.

INTJ: Cool. We’ll use fire starters and some of the scrap wood from outside to get it going. We’ll start small and then see whether or not we’ll need to add some coals or…

*In the background, ENTP tosses flaming paper towel into the wood stove. A stack of logs goes up in flames*

INFJ: Um...*points finger in direction of wood stove crackling with a blazing bonfire*

*INTJ finally turns around*

INTJ: DUDE, WHAT THE--

*ENTP beams proudly*

I Wish I Knew Something More, Felt More.Something I Could Put My Hands On And Turn It Into Celestial

I wish I knew something more, felt more.Something I could put my hands on and turn it into celestial sparks. I won't lie, life is not a sane man's business. You can gaze at a lovely meadow and sink into a meditative absurdity. Or you can feel trampled down by the sky above.

Sunbeams Swam Across The Horizon, But You Nurtured A Pounding Wound Inside Your Chest. You Just Walked

Sunbeams swam across the horizon, but you nurtured a pounding wound inside your chest. You just walked away, but could barely stretch your fists at them. No you were not kind ,you were agonized. You eventually learnt to grow flowers in your eyes and creepers in your ribs and kept rowing through the same eras our ancients trailed.
