Genshin Impact's elemental reaction system is a genuinely creative and unique take on making an "element" system in a video game that isn't a glorified rock-paper-scissors that's legit pretty damn fun to fiddle around with. Unfortunately it's in a fucking gacha game with way too many issues rotting it to its core and it's the only place i could ever find such a system and that pisses me off so muuuuuuch

i need some random indie game developer to steal this system and use it to make an actually fun and competent game with zero in-app purchases zero waifu bait zero FOMO and zero anti-indigenous racism. hhhhaaaarrghhhhhhhh this shit has limitless potential. imagine Genshin's element system combined with the machine building stuff of Tears of the Kingdom. imagine the crazy ass shit you could pull off with setting up an Overloaded reaction into a thingamajig you're making and it just explodes and launches the fucking thing several miles into the air sending some random enemy flinging and flying inside it. do you see how the ingenuity of indie developers is so important in this day and age? i need someone to salvage this gem from mihoyo's grasp
